The Sports Bar at Gaylord Opryland truly transports you back in time to relive the nostalgia of Nashville’s printmaking and sport history. While the building is inspired by and reflective of those found during the printing boom, sports of the same era are alluded to through texture and materiality found throughout the design. Specific references to Nashville sports history will be highlighted through a rich and diverse art program as well.

Included in Phase I of the Renovations at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, the Governors Renovation covers an 18,200 SF Ballroom, Prefunction Space, Meeting Rooms, Public Restrooms, and a Mother’s Room. Inspired by Opryland’s lush Garden Conservatory, these spaces are transformed through a custom lighting package and updated material palette including custom axminster carpet and eucalyptus wood.

Old Hickory taps into the rich history of Maryland and other cities along the Potomac River in the greater DC area, blurring the lines between modern and traditional elements. Each space has its own character and story, giving guests a different experience each time they visit. This is achieved through cohesive but varied color palettes for each area, and different types of seating groups and dining experiences.

Next door to the W Austin and home to PBS’s Austin City Limits, lives ACL Live: “A venue as vibrant as its artists, in the heart of the live music capital of the world.” This transformative refresh includes the Venue Porch and Facade, two Prefunction and Bar Spaces, and a 2,000 SF Event Terrace Addition. The goal is to bring the same energy from the memories made at this iconic venue directly into the design of these spaces.

Next door to Austin City Limits Live and home to one of the most beautiful future coffee shops in ATX, lives the W Austin. Inspired by its location in the Live Music Capital of the World, the goal is to transport guests through the interior of various musical instruments like an acoustic guitar or a brass trumpet. This musicality is achieved through the geometry and materiality of the design, and a few hidden nods throughout

Located in the heart of ATL, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Event Space Renovation included their Exhibit Hall, Learning Center, Meeting Rooms, Prefunction Spaces, International Ballroom, and Centennial Ballroom. Inspired by John Portman’s revolutionary architecture + design of the hotel’s atrium in 1967, this renovation included over 150,000 SF of carpet directly influenced by his historical work, apparently worthy of a cult following.

Industrial grunge meets contemporary design, backdropped by steel, concrete, brick, and reclaimed wood. Warm your Northeast toes by the fused-metal-fronted Clubroom fireplace, gather at the custom steel banded live-edge wood table in the Business Lounge, and get some rack time in at the brick clad two-story Fitness Club. Need more privacy? Reserve a cantilevered Micro Office and lean on the Clubroom during these times, literally.

A short walk away from a nearby nature preserve lives Presidium Town Center, a zen-contemporary oasis built for relaxation. Pebble-inlayed stone flooring, white oak flooring + millwork, a double-volume water feature, and layered lighting creates a zen atmosphere for residents to unwind. An interactive backlit elevator lobby wall inspired by local flora acts as an Instagram backdrop and marketing tool for ownerhsip.

915 Glenwood is planted right off of the Beltline in Glenwood Park, between Grant Park and East Atlanta. With an inherently industrial vibe, this amenity package provides endless opportunities for entertainment with an edge. Most notably, the culvert banquettes in the double-volume Club Lounge. With flat screen TV’s in each, they provide a unique hideout to grab coffee and a snack, meet up with friends and family, and work from home.

Presidium Waterford blurs the line between warm-contemporary and industrial-edge. The corten steel found throughout the exterior architecture quickly influenced the amenity design direction and became a key feature. This element is carried from the backlit perforated metal entry, to the double-volume Club Lounge fireplace, up through the monumental mesh staircase, and more.

Dwell Design Studio + Milhaus
Inspired by what was once the largest arsenal in the Union Army during the Civil War, Arsenal Phase II narrates the story of the Allegheny Arsenal and its history. Phase II brings this site back to life, reclaiming the charred wood, heart pine, ashen brick, while tying in cannonball cues throughout the amenities. The Allegheny Arsenal lives on, so much so that construction was halted multiple times due to recovering hundreds of cannonballs on site. This has resulted in a very close relationship with the Pittsburgh Police and local bomb squad.
