Stay Strong in Christ o you see what God has called you to be? Do you believe the Lord carries a bright vision for your life? Your belief in who you are in Christ should be the driving force behind your choices. Many people are blinded by what they think is cool with little regard for whether the cool thing follows God’s way or is what God wants for us. It is important to realize something which looks tempting or inviting may draw us in and lead us to make poor choices. Here are some suggestions to push temptation away. • Allow the Holy Spirit, who is always on your side, to guide you in what is right or wrong. Through Jesus, we have the power to resist improper conduct by the faith we proclaim. • Memorize Scriptures for extra strength to handle peer pressure. God’s Word provides the power to say no, even if others are shouting, “What’s wrong with you? If you want to fit in, you need to act like everybody else!” • Hang out with Christian friends who keep each other accountable for making good choices. • Pray regularly, and you will receive enlightenment to understand God’s specific plan for your life.

In my teenage years, I hooked up with the wrong crowd and chased what the world offered; as a result, evil bit me. I regret my decisions and lost years wandering in darkness. Can you imagine being separated from God? It was the hardest time of my life. After I chose to follow Jesus, my life changed for the better. He gave me purpose and fulfillment.
Choices shape our futures. When our choices line up with God’s will for our lives, He graces us with experiences filled with blessings. Remember, everyone faces temptations. Who or what will you follow? The best way to stand against temptation is to stay strong in Christ.
