Our Knights of Columbus Council hosts Bingo games on two Sunday evenings each month in the Parish Center. Everyone is welcome to play — and indeed, many of the community who aren’t Catholic make it a regular occasion. Players know that each game has a payout of $25, and the evening offers a wide variety of games.

Chuck Donner, K of C financial secretary, coordinates the games. His wife runs the kitchen, where volunteers prepare hot or cold sandwiches or soup, depending on the weather.

Proceeds from the games usually are turned over to the Council’s general fund for various projects.

“We usually get between 55 and 60 people each evening,” Chuck says. “Some older folks come and it’s a way to get together for a lot of them. It’s a good chance to build fellowship.”

Although the games have been on hiatus due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Chuck will post notices in the weekly bulletins, as well as local newspaper ads, when the games will resume.
