Deus in loco sancto – Plainsong, Mode V; Ps. 68:6, 7, 36

Deus in loco sancto suo: Deus qui inhabitare fecit unanimes in domo: ipse dabit virtutem, et fortitudinem plebi suae.

God is in his holy place; God who makes men of one mind to dwell in a house; He shall give power and strength to his people. God arises; his enemies are scattered, and those who hate him flee before Him.

Brothers and sisters: You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone. Gospel • Evangelio Mt 16:13-19

The Gospel will be proclaimed in English. A Spanish translation is provided below:

R. Gloria a Ti, Señor Jesús.

Ubi Caritas — Plainsong, Mode VI

Where love is found to be authentic, God is there.

Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.

Exsultemus et in ipso iucundemur. Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum. Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero. Ubi caritas …

Simul ergo cum in unum congregamur: Ne nos mente dividamur, caveamus. Cessent iurgia maligna, cessent lites. Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus. Ubi caritas…

Amen.

The love of Christ has gathered us together. Let us rejoice in him and be glad. Let us fear and love the living God. And let us love one another with a sincere heart. Where love…

When, therefore, we are assembled together. Let us take heed, that we be not divided in mind. Let malicious quarrels and contentions cease. And let Christ our God dwell among us. Where love...

Let us also with the blessed see: Your face in glory, O Christ our God. There to possess immeasurable and happy joy. For infinite ages of ages. Amen.

Salve Regina — Plainsong, Mode V; Hermannus Contractus (1013-1054)

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send forth our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
