Target audience

Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Emergency Physicians, Internal Medicine and Family Practice Physicians, Hospitalists, Advanced Practice Providers, Nursing, EMS responders and other health care professionals who want to enhance their knowledge of cerebrovascular disease processes.

Objectives

• Outline updated AHA/ASA guidelines for management and treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.

• Identify secondary prevention of ischemic stroke including medical management and carotid revascularization.

• Discuss management of hemorrhagic stroke patients.

• Review management of cerebral venous thrombosis and latest technology.

• Discuss disposition of stroke patients and the future of regionalized stroke care.
