Introducing the Faithful Servant Collection
Sen. Moran visits Our Daily Bread Staff and volunteers hosted a special guest May 28 when U.S. Senator Jerry Moran visited Our Daily Bread Food Pantry to learn about hunger in Wichita and how the pantry is serving more people while adjusting its operations due to COVID-19. Sen. Moran visited with Joe Seitz, program director, and LeAnne Miller, senior director of development, as well as volunteers and staff who are working at the pantry. He also watched as several clients made it efficiently through the drive thru to receive both perishable and non-perishable food items.
Catholic Charities is pleased to introduce an exclusive “Faithful Servant Collection” in partnership with Saint by Sarah Jane. Proceeds from the sale of the sterling silver charm bracelet and charms will benefit the Faithful Servant Fund. The collection will feature one or two new charms each year inspired by Catholic Charities, our ministries and those we serve. The collection debuted May 22 on the feast day of St. Rita of Cascia, the patron saint of abuse victims who is featured in the inaugural charm. The St. Rita charm honors all those Catholic Charities has and will serve through outreach programs and in shelter at Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter. The sterling silver bracelet, available in 7”, 7.5” and 8”, and the 3/4” round St. Rita charm are handcrafted in the United States and designed exclusively for Catholic Charities by Sarah Jane. The pair is available for $395, with $200 considered a charitable contribution.

Ricke leads board as new chair Christina Ricke, people development leader at K*Coe Isom, began a two-year term as chair of the Catholic Charities Board of Directors July 1. Christina has served on the board since 2010, and brings expertise in accounting and human resources to her role on the board. She succeeds Jeff Leonard, an attorney with Triplett, Woolf & Garretson who completed his two-year term as board chair. He remains on the board and continues in his leadership role overseeing the construction project for Adult Day Services.
