Selinunte Campo Naturale with Ned Ijomanta
Professor: Olivia Gori
Course: Arch 408 - Fall 2022
Location: Selinunte, Sicily, Italy
Selinunte Campo Naturale hosts children from the ages of 8-16 any time of the year. Located on the coast of Selinunte, Sicilia, this nature camp allows the campers to encounter a serene experience with the blur of the traditional interior and exterior spaces. Campers can relax in the outdoor classrooms or amphitheater and have designated sleeping cabins located in the center of the camp. The rest of the camp is left untouched to allow local flora and fauna to thrive in their natural habitats. Campers have the freedom to explore the immediate site or even venture throughout Selinunte, possibly coming across the Nature Reserve Foce Belice. This camp is meant for students to explore and enjoy the natural world without the interference of technology.

Professional Work
Firm: CosciaMoos Architects
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
While working for CosciaMoos, I learned Revit, Enscape, and how to make different documentation sets. I also got to work with the interior design team and plan a Parking Day booth in collaboratoin with Morris Animal Shelter of Philadelphia. In the Professional Works sections, three projects are included- the first being FLAD, the collaborating architects working on the Laboratory and Research facilities in San Francisco as depicted in the renders of the two building lobbies.

Kissing Booth
The second project is a remodel of an old laundromat into a restaurant space and apartments above shown in the DD sets. Lastly, the Parking Day Kissing Booth. This project was a collective of strong women in the firm both inside and outside architecture. Spending weeks planning the design, budget, and materials, and constructing the project allowed for a successful Parking Day Kissing Booth that allowed the puppies from Morris Animal Shelter to be adopted!

Home Project
Class: ARC 555 - Intro to BIM
Location: Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania
Located in the quiet woods in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, a cozy 3-bedroom split-level house resides. Around 1,000 sqft. total, the house entry opens to a dining room and kitchen on the first level. The layout comprises downstairs, two bedrooms, a small den, and a full bath. Going up from the dining room, the open living room is full of windows and ceiling heights rising to 14’+ in areas. Off the living room, the master bedroom, and another full bath finish the space. This cozy home incorporates wood as a primary material, both as the floor and exterior finish. This house sits on over an acre of land and houses a tool shed, two greenhouses, and woods with a swamp and plenty of friendly forest animals

Istanbul Archives

Course: Arch 408 - Spring 2023
Location: Istanbul, Turkey
The Istanbul Archives project highlights the curved library that sits right on the Golden Horn Inlet. This library contains a library and archiving space sitting to the NE of the building that connects to the Napping Pod Hotel on the SW. The building houses many different points of entry through underpasses, bridges, and ramps. The project’s preferred facade allows light to enter through different size punctures that comply with the program of the building. The building’s NE facade opens to allow for natural airflow and a blurry threshold between the exterior and interior spaces of the project. The building incorporates Turkish Limestone to tie the project into the site. The primary structural elements include steel framing and Pre-fab concrete walls and foundation.
