Words of gratitude and thanks overflowed for the Daughters of Wisdom, USA Province recently at Maryhaven Center of Hope’s 85th Anniversary celebration. You may wonder why, as these days the Daughters of Wisdom’s relationship with Maryhaven Center of Hope is not a connection widely known on Long Island, NY. But it began many years before with the establishment in 1907 of St. Charles Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY, where Daughters of Wisdom were sent to meet the educational needs of children who were blind or had physical disabilities.
