Growing platforms that offer space to the outdoor area.
El hogar que priva a la vista externa pero que al entrar denota libertad y una sensación de amplitud.
The home encloses the outside view but when you enter it gives a feeling of freedom and spaciousness.
Cada estrato ostenta una identidad propia que lo diferencia funcional, material y espacialmente de los demás. Las formas circulares y orgánicas abundan en la casa, en la iluminaria, las paredes, en la cerámica de la fachada, y en su estructura. Generando en el habitante calma y relajación.
Each level has its own identity that can be differentiated by functionality, materials and and spatially from the others. Circular and organic shapes are abundant in the house, in the lighting, the walls, in the ceramic on the facade, and in its structure. Generating a sense of calm and relaxation in the visitor.
Su macizo volumen se perfora con aberturas de formas y tamaños diversos. Sobre nosotros una cabeza de medusa que custodia el ingreso, esta representa un escudo, protege la casa.
Its massive volumes are perforated with openings of various shapes and sizes. Above us a head of medusa that guards the entrance, this one represents a shield, protects the house.
Este hogar es la culminación proyectual de una colaboración entre dos artistas consagrados del Uruguay, no solo de Julio Vilamajo arquitecto, sino que también de Antonio Pena escultor ceramista que plasma su visión en la fachada del hogar, dándole una identidad externa tan emblemática hasta el día de hoy.
This home is the result of a collaboration between two of Uruguay's best-known artists. not only the architect Julio Vilamajo, but also the ceramic sculptor Antonio Pena. He was a sculptor and ceramist, whose vision is reflected in the facade of the house, giving it an exterior identity that is so emblematic to this day.
Un reflejo “alto impacto” de las claras referencias marítimas, que resumen las experiencias de ambos artistas en el exterior, en sus viajes por Europa. Una obra humanizada por la intervención artesanal.
A "high impact" reflection of the maritime references, which summarize the experiences of both artists abroad, in their travels through Europe. A humanized work of art, thanks to the artisanal intervention.

This project started in 2021. we chose the architect Julio vilamajo and home studio to lead the 2022 collection.
Proyecto que comienza en 2021, elegimo al arquitecto Julio vilamajo y hogar como estudio para encaminar la coleccion de 2022.
Respiro es el nombre que se le otorga a la colección debido a la experiencia que se vivió al transitar por el hogar.
Respiro is the name given to this collection due to the experience that we had while walking through the house.
Una estructura inusual, donde prima el movimiento constante. La casa esta armada para que cada actividad rutinaria implique un traslado de ambiente, en el cual cada vivencia es distinta.
An unusual structure, where constant movement dominates. The house is set up so that each daily routine activity implies a change of environment, in which each experience is different.
The innovative way of deploying the distribution on each floor, the change of textures, and the great importance of contact with the outside, with the intelligence of modern architecture to simultaneously protect privacyand at the same time, we feel a sense of fresh air, a sense of peace and relief.
La innovadora manera de desplegar la distribución por piso, el cambio de texturas, y la gran importancia al contacto con el exterior, con la inteligencia de la arquitectura moderna para proteger la privacidad en simultaneo, género en nosotros una sensación de aire fresco, de tranquilidad y respiro.

These images provided a huge inspiration for the bodysuits that will be seen throughout the collection. These used to be the bathing suits that were used in the 1920s.

La paleta de colores escogida es obtenida de la casa y de nuestros imaginarios creativos a raíz de nuestra investigación.
The color palette chosen is obtained from the house and from our own creative imaginations as a result of our research.
El marrón es un color que fue utilizado en ciertos materiales como la madera de las escaleras, apliques y armarios, dándole un estilo clásico pero cálido y relajante.
Brown is a color that was used in certain materials, such as the wood of the stairs, wall sconces and cabinets, giving the house a classic but warm and relaxing style.
Luego el resto de la paleta aborda todo el mundo marítimo, el turquesa y el azul naval son obtenidos a raíz de la fachada, los barcos y la medusa, que fueron el principal puntapié para guiar nuestra colección.
Then the rest of the palette is all about the maritime world. turquoise and navy blue are obtained from the facade, the ships and the medusa, which were the main sources for the collection.
Yellow is the accent color, also obtained from the ceramic , which also functions as a seasonal color, and gives a touch of brightness to the proposal.
El amarillo es el color acento, obtenido de igual manera, en las proas de cerámica, que además funciona debido a que es un color de temporada, y le da un brillo a la propuesta.

Various materials out of circulation, we used thick upholstery leather to generate the garments such as the shorts, skirt and ponchos in blue and turquoise, we also developed volumes with pleats and folds, obtained from the shape design exercise that also simulates the tide.
Materiales varios fuera de circulación, utilizamos cuerina gruesa de tapicería para generar las piezas como el short y la falda y los ponchos en azul y turquesa, además desarrollamos volúmenes con pliegues y pinzas, obtenido del ejercicio de formas que a su vez simula la marea.
The blue gabardine was used for the construction of the cargo pants covered with pockets.
Gabardina azul que fue obtenida para la realización del pantalón tipo cargo lleno de bolsillos.
Yellow lycra with a rubberized finish, which was used for the making of a swimsuit style bodysuit, and was also integrated in the pockets of the cargo pants.
Licra amarilla con un acabado tipo engomado, que fue obtenido para la realización de un body estilo malla de baño, y además fue integrado en los bolsillos de la silueta del pantalón.

Cuero azul, material noble que replica el mismo volumen que en los ponchos para los bolsos.
Blue leather, a fine material that replicates the same volume as in the ponchos for the bags. Natural dyed thin merino wool knitted in circular shapes. The wool was fundamental because it is a representative material of the Uruguayan production and identity.
Tejido de lana merino fino teñido al natural con formas circulares. La lana era fundamental debido a que es un material representativo de la nacionalidad y producción Uruguay.
The rope and the naval knots accentuate the marine research that we carried out throughout the project, also providing functionality and resistance to the weight.
La cuerda y sus nudos navales acentúan la investigación náutica que realizamos en el proyecto, aportando además su funcionalidad y resistencia al peso.
The recreation of different shapes with ceramics pays tribute to the home's facade.

During the exercise we worked with some asymmetrical and some organic shapes, obtained from Julio Vilamajo's house, such as the texture of its external walls, and the illumination from inside the house.

These were the starting point to lead to the development of the project with toile test and finishing with different, modern and trendy proposal.

After a process of sketching and analysis, cardboard and felt were used to test on mannequins and bodies until enough variations were found.

Inspired by the swimsuits of that time, the 20's. A new reference of the swimsuit of the modern era, which has a contrast between the fit that covers the body, with an open knit that shows the body that wears it.
Inspiradas en los bañadores de la época, los años 20. Una nueva referencia de las mallas de la era moderna, que tiene contraste entre el calce que recubre el cuerpo, con un tejido abierto que trasluce el cuerpo que lo porta..
Inspired by the organic and circular part of the home, adding shades of color obtained from ceramics. Open stitch that generates a pattern of spheres, revealing the skin underneath.
Inspirado en la parte orgánica y circular del hogar, agregándole tonalidades de color obtenidas de la cerámica. Punto abierto que genera un dibujo de esferas, dejando ver la piel por debajo.

Upcycling results with Air force sneakers covered with white rubber boots, a post-modern take on the classic shoe, offering a "streetstyle" side to the collection. The inspiration goes back to naval research strongly rooted in the references of the house, the shine of the rubber covering the sneaker plays with clothing materials. A way of "layering" in footwear.
Resultado de upcicling con zapatillas Air force recubiertas con botas de goma blancas, un resultado pos moderno del zapato clásico, ofreciendo un lado “streetstyle” a la colección. La inspiración remonta a la investigación naval fuertemente arraigada a las referencias del hogar, el brillo de la goma que cubre la zapatilla juega con materiales de la indumentaria. Una manera de realizar “layering” en el calzado.

Referencia de las gorras de baño de la época. A lo que gran parte de nuestra inspiración es naval, decidimos inspirarnos en lo que las mujeres utilizaban para ir a la playa en los años 20.
Referencia obtenidas de la marca francesa Botter Paris, accesorios con licra engomada, y pescados de ansuelos, como también antiparras de buceo.
References obtained from the French brand Botter Paris. This reference is a reference to the bathing caps of the time. To which much of our inspiration is marine, we decided to take inspiration from what women used to wear to go to the beach in the 20's, with rubberized lycra, and fish hooks, as well as diving goggles.

En complemento un bolso "maxi" que logra cubrir un brazo del cuerpo, jugando con la silueta y el cuerpo.

Also the mini skirt is inspired by the navy era of the 20's in Uruguay, with its curved and clean volumes generating a similar aesthetic.

This silhouette refers to sections of the house. The inspiration for these pieces comes from the house's pond and the stairs, which are circular shapes.
Throughout our research we discovered that the house has many circular and cylindrical shapes, and the bag is inspired by the rough shapes of the facade.
The pants are made with cotton ropes, with a union of naval knots that give that maritime touch.

Se opto por un tejido teñido artesanalmente en amarillo, cubre ambos brazos y contiene un pasamontanas.
A yellow hand-dyed merino wool was chosen, it covers both arms and includes a balaclava. Underneath is a knitted bodysuit, unlike the others, this one has no sleeves, it is strapless.

Esta silueta está compuesta por un body el cual presenta una gran mezcla de medialunas en tejido de punto para generar formas y volumenes circulares (referencia a la iluminaria de la casa)
This silhouette is made of a bodysuit which presents a great mix of knitted circles to create circular shapes and volumes ( inspired in the house's illumination).
Cinturón con contenedor extraible con pliegues inspiradas en las formas trabajas en clase, el cinturón puede ser usado solo, la hebilla se oculta por el bolso.
Belt with removable bag with pleats, inspired in the shapes worked in class, the belt can be worn alone, the buckle is hidden by the bag.
The skirt, as in silhouette 4, is made of rope and naval knot.
La falda al igual que en la silueta 4 esta hecha de cuerda y nudos navales, inspirados en la espoca.

The poncho is inspired in silhouette 2, without a front part and with a wider back.
We decided that this silhouette would be the most exhibited of all, the intention is to be able to show how the bodysuit is, its fit , how its made and its composition.
The shape of the sholder bag is the same as the one of the silhouette 5, The strap of the bag is made out of rope.
