Children grow up too quickly and we want those at Castle Court to have a real childhood. This is why we aim to make life at Castle Court fun and packed full of activity.
Breakfast Club starts at 7:45am. Children from EYFS (Reception, Badgers and Badger Cubs) are welcome by special arrangement.
The children are given cereal, juice and toast in the dining room where they are supervised by teachers.
At 8:15am the older children are given the responsibility of taking the younger children to their classrooms where they start their school day.
Some pupils will finish the school day at 3:30 or 3:45 (depending on their year group), but they are welcome to stay until 4:15pm (to coincide with siblings finishing in the older year groups or to catch the school bus home). Between 3:45 and 4:15 the children are cared for in their classrooms and a range of activities are laid on, in rotation over the week. The Pre-Prep team will communicate more detail on this in due course.
Those who are staying beyond 4:15pm have afternoon tea in one of the PrePrep classrooms.
Wraparound care is then provided in a warm and nurturing environment by our lovely Pre-Prep team. Think of it as a glorified after school play date! The latest collection time is 5:45pm. Please note that this after-school care is paid.
The school day for children in Years 3 to 8 officially ends at 4:15pm. Children can either go home, or stay for afternoon tea, followed by prep or activities. Tea is held in the main dining hall.
Prep begins at 4.45pm each evening and is held in a classroom supervised by a member of the teaching team. Prep ends at 5:45pm.
