Dare Devil Rides to Jarama Townsend Productions

Saturday 12 November The makers of United We Stand are back with a new play by Neil Gore about Wall of Death motorcycle rider Clem ‘Dare Devil’ Beckett.

Loved by the masses for his great daring, courage and skill on the Speedway track, this man of the people, joined the fight against fascism in Spain, 1936.

There, he developed an unlikely friendship with writer and poet Christopher Caudwell until a fateful defence of their battalion’s retreat at the Battle of Jarama.

Commissioned by the International Brigades Memorial Trust to commemorate the contribution and sacrifice of the volunteer International Brigades on the 80th anniversary of their creation with stirring songs, live music and poetry.

Cast has been designed with complete accessibility in mind. All areas are accessible via lifts and there are wheelchair spaces throughout. A Changing Places room is available for people with specific needs.

See the parts of Cast not normally on view to the public, from under the stage to the fly tower up above. Followed by afternoon tea in our Café Bar.

Sundays and bank holidays, opens two hours before first show until 30 minutes after the start of the last show.
