THE AMERICAN BMW SCHUCO BMW 507
If exotic and not-the-usual models are your thing, then look no further than the BMW 507 and it's even lesser known 503.
The model has an interesting back story. Conceived by Max Hoffman, a US-based importer of European cars, who sold the idea of a roadster to BMW as being a competitor to the wildly successful Mercedes Benz 300SL, the model evolved from the existing 501 and 502 platforms.

The two-door roadster became increasingly expensive to manufacture and cost to profit ration dwindled on the model. All in all, only 252 was built of this good looking, albeit, expensive model.

Schuco crafts this model in 1:43 scale, in metal and in very good detail. Even the tiny wipers are made and not part of the windshield.
The red body and black hardtop paintwork is outstanding and the white wall tires really sets this model on fire. The chrome accents and neatly done and even has undercarriage details that you usually don't find on models.
