Arthurs nose

Arthur’s Nose After reading Arthur’s Nose by Marc Brown, print the following animal noses, crop down, and hold next to your child’s nose. I found it easiest to take a picture of her with the nose next to her face and then show her the photo. This could also be an excellent time to talk to your child about any features he or she dislikes. My daughter doesn’t like the color of her eyes and this project gave me the opportunity to discuss her insecurity. I also took the time to ask her if she would like to change her nose. This got a pretty good laugh. For older children you could easily discuss the reaction of Arthur’s friends and take a moment to encourage tolerance. The exercise enclosed is one Arthur does in the book. He tries on different noses to see if would like a new nose.
