Licensing Requirements
To become a licensed Loan Originator, you'll need to:
Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and obtain your NMLS ID.
Complete a 20-hour Federal Pre-licensing Education (PE) course (this often includes state-required PE education).
Pass the National Test.
Apply for state licensing.
Our onboarding team will guide you through the entire process—helping you register, select educational resources, schedule your test, and apply for your license.
While you await your license approval, our onboarding team and your assigned Loan Advisor will educate you on the basics of loan quali cation and standard loan program requirements. We will ensure you can con dently understand your clients' lending needs and inform them of the loan quali cation process and the types of loans they may qualify for.
We will train you to use the features of Olley, our client digital portal, and your support sta to create a smooth lending experience for you and your clients. You will receive a complete print and digital collateral set to inform your clients and prepare them for a successful lending experience.

Pre-Approval - Your Loan Advisor will run credit and analyze income before issuing pre-approval.
