On the Road to Becoming Vegan


Family History 2020 had been an eventful year. During this time, I was involved in very disappointing physical examination at the doctors. Being told overweight and possible pre diabetic, I decided to put me on a new path, to make a change. Fear of contracting any decease or inheriting health risks help me to define a more manageable and happier lifestyle.

Being Healthy and Happy Shedding some extra pounds first on my list of goals for the new year. I researched that vegans are known on average, up to 20 pounds lighter than meat-eaters. That inspired me. Not a great fan of fad diets with quick results and leaving you drained and great pressure. Choosing a lifestyle change like to be vegan allows me to keep losing at a natural rate. I also believe my weight loss would be more lasting and the extra fruits and vegetable would be awesome energy.


Vegan Food is Delicious! Just through testing some of the option available, I found that I can still eat all some of my favorite foods. I am a great fan of Burger King’s Impossible Whopper sandwich. One of my favorite things in this entire world is ice cream. I have found some really delicious nondairy substitute for my frozen treat; the major difference is that I will be ditching the added cholesterol that is present in using animal for food. That is why there is a great advantage in going plant base. In identify my favorites, now unfortunately I notice the popularity and new demand for vegan food. Not the only person finding delicious healthy alternative choices! When in doubt , try being vegetarian first.

What’s Trending In the year of 2020, I was inspired by Internet sensation, cook, and actress Tabitha Brown. Watching her videos inspired me that veganism is not as difficult as people make it seem. The importance is flavor, vriority and be able to try new things.

Besides health benefits and sustainability, many people go vegan because of its ethical implications. In 2015, 4.6 billion animals were raised and slaughtered for food worldwide. Several articles have detailed the often painfilled journey animals go through in order to become food, including crowded, filthy conditions which can lead to serious disease and injury. Factory farming produces the majority of America's meat supply, and these large-scale farms have been shown to cause animals’ severe distress.

With over seven billion people in the world, and our population is always expanding, increasing our demand on resources. It allows much pressure for food producers, specifically meat producers and will eventually cause a worldwide food shortage. With our growing population, how would there ever be enough water or animal growth for supply comparable to our use and consumption. Eating a vegan diet allows farmers to naturally allocate resources more efficiently to produce enough food for our growing population. Meat is not always environmentally friendly. Meat production can be wasteful, causes pollution, and climate change. Adopting a vegan diet is a greener more effective change.
