REIGEN commissioned by Lucerne Festival.
World Premiere took place on August 16, 2024 by the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO) under the direction of Johanna Malangré as part of Lucerne Festival Summer 2024 at the Concert Hall of the KKL Lucerne.

= short glissando, staying a short moment on the !rst note at !rst
= play on harmonic tube: swing the harmonic tube above or in front of you in circles, the faster you swing, the louder the result.
= play given rhythm with !nger nail (or very thin needle) on resonating part of the instrument
BRASS
= short glissando
= play on garden hose (put extra mouthpiece in the garden hose and play into the mouthpiece while swinging the hose in circles above or in front of you).
TIMPANI & PERCUSSION
= press one side of the Triangle onto the skin of the Timpani while hitting the side of the Triangle with a drumstick (hammer-like sound with resonance occurs)
= press one side of the Triangle onto the skin of the Timpani while hitting the side of the Triangle with a drumstick (a transition in sound occurs to the technique described above)
= play on harmonic tube: swing the harmonic tube above or in front of you in circles, the faster you swing, the louder the result
= play single random strings on the Egg Slicer
= play arpeggios on the strings of the Egg Slicer
= slide with drum stick on washboard (rattling sound)
= short scratch along the washboard with drum stick
STRINGS I
= Roman numerals above a note indicate the string on which to play
c.l.b. = col legno battuto
c.l.cr. = col legno crini (play with both wood and hair of the bow)
ord. = ordinario

indicates the velocity of the bowing:
0 = no velocity
0.5 = very very slow = approx. 60 sec. per bow (unstable tone)
1 = very slow = approx. 15 sec. per bow (stable tone)
2 = slow = approx. 3 sec. per bow
3 = medium velocity = approx. 1 bow per sec.
4 = fast = approx. 1.5 bows per sec.
5 = very fast = approx. 2 bows per sec.
6 = as fast as possible = approx. 2.5 bows per sec.
All numbers lower than 1 should result in an unstable, grainy sound.
No matter what the indicated speed is, the entire length of the bow should always be used.
The indication ”6” does not mean a normal tremolo!
CONDUCTOR
= large numbers above the or a string section indicate the velocity of the bow for all desks underneath the indicated one
ff = big dynamics underneath the string section indicate the dynamics for all the strings above.
