Joshua B. McCormick, Ph.D. –
Kristen (Pyrz) Serio – Joliet, Illinois, and Pete Serio announce the birth of their son. Caleb Anthony was born May 31. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
2006
Madison, Wisconsin, completed his doctorate in radiochemistry at the University of Missouri this year. He attributes his success in part to the professors and advisors at Carthage.
2008
Meghan Kuecker – Greenfield, Wisconsin, graduated with honors May 9, earning a master’s degree in human resource management from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

Kim (Kresal) King – Kenosha, and her husband, Andrew, announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Elizabeth, on July 18.

Danielle (Scarpaci) Aguirre – Franklin Park, Illinois, married Alex Aguirre on May 30 in Park Ridge, Illinois, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Matthew Passanante and Katie (Zierke) Passanante ’10 – Columbus, Missouri, welcomed Britta Grace to the world on July 17. Britta weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.
2010 Janice Kosinski, M.Ed. – Sturtevant, Wisconsin, was
Christina LaurNuernberger – Denver, earned a
Master of Science in speech, language, and learning, with a concentration in speech-language pathology, from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is completing her clinical fellowship at a private practice where she specializes in the treatment of voice and resonance disorders, cleft palate care, vocal health education, and voice training for professional voice users including singers and actors, young artists in training, teachers, business professionals, and public speakers. Christina and her husband, Mark Nuernberger ’09, add that they “are enjoying married life in beautiful Denver, Colorado.”
Jason Ambrose and Amber Brimmerman ’13 – Kenosha, married on Aug. 15.
Elizabeth (Devereaux) LeFager – Grayslake, Illinois, married John LeFager on Sept. 19. The wedding party included Victoria Dakessian ’11, Courtney (Palmer) Hendershot ’10, and Jennifer Nichols ’09. Elizabeth is a senior accountant at IDEX Corp. in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Sarai Nieto Campos – Round Lake Beach, Illinois, and Hilario Chavez welcomed a baby girl, Julia Chavez, on July 25.
Randi Shaver – Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and Aj Nauseda announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Lynn Nauseda, on Sept. 17, 2014.
presented the 2015 Wisconsin PTA Outstanding Educator Award for the secondary level. Ten years after starting in the Master of Education program at Carthage, Janice was nominated by the Parent-TeacherStudent Association at JerstadAgerholm Middle School in Racine, Wisconsin, where she works as a special education inclusion teacher. The award honors teachers who are actively involved with students and families in their schools and recognizes excellence in teaching effectiveness, as well as involvement in PTA and community and professional organizations. Nominators wrote that “students Ms. Kosinski works with may have learning or emotional disabilities and she has gone above and beyond to understand their specific needs to create a personalized plan for the students to be successful. As an inclusion teacher, Ms. Kosinski has made a huge impact.”
