ART IN BARTOW
IRON BUTTERFLY TRAIL The Iron Butterfly Trail was created as an icon to represent who we are. From our mining history to our colorful & creative present, these butterflies are built and prepped locally, and each is hand painted by an artist. Fifteen Iron Butterflies are currently installed throughout the community with the majority located in the Historic Downtown Cartersville.
MURALS AND PAINTINGS From murals at Cartersville Public Library & Peacock Alley in downtown Adairsville to the rotating “Gallery Below the Bridge” in Historic Downtown Cartersville, visitors will experience art throughout Bartow County. Enjoy our latest installments entitled “Travel Through Time” in Cartersville’s new Main Street parking deck, that brings the heart of Museum City into downtown, celebrating the Booth Western Art Museum, Savoy Automobile Museum and the Tellus Science Museum.
SCULPTURES Located throughout the county, sculptures represent our past and present. Whether it is Etowah Chief welcoming you to the Etowah Indian Mounds, the Pathways to Freedom: A Story in Every Stitch in downtown Cartersville, the STEAM Sculpture Walk at Cartersville’s Public Library or other works of art, sculptures are an integral part of the community’s public art scene for all groups to enjoy.
