We continue working to become an Environmentally Responsible Mine

I

n line with the global Environmentally Responsible Mine program of Zijin Group, our objective is to become the first Environmentally Responsible Mine of Colombia. We continue on this path to achieve this goal by means of different actions. The most recent one was donating 2,255 trees to the Buriticá Mayor's Office to be planted in the territory. This donation adds to the new tree planting of the Jacaranda mimosifolia (Gualanday) species in our Buriticá Mine, which is part of the Western's Environment Care Agreement that we have with Corantioquia. More than 50,000 native species' trees are sent to Buriticá and Western Antioquia per year from our nursery. Through this program, we continue honoring our commitment with the environment and reinforcing one of our values Harmony with the environment and the community.

Caring is a

family affair Special occasions strengthen our bonds with our relatives. Mother's month and father's month inspire us and bring out the best in us. I would like to use this opportunity to send very special greetings to all those women working in our company, who also have the very important role of being mothers. We admire them, as they demonstrate their dedication and unconditional love for their children. I would also like to send a hug from the distance to the mothers of our employees, it is thanks to them that today we have their talent and skills in our Company. May is mother's month and the invitation of Zijin-Continental Gold is to take care of them. We have to comply with biosecurity measures at all times, thinking about their wellbeing. If you have your mothers at home, spoil them; and if they are far, let them know about the endless love and gratitude you have for them, from the distance. Family is what matters most. Therefore, our first responsibility in the situation we are going through due to Covid-19 is to protect it, by applying self-care. This care also expands to our coworkers, because if I take care of myself, I care for my family and my colleagues. We also care for the communities and the company. In this issue, I want to invite you to continue honoring two of our corporate values. One, Health and Safety, by complying with the guidelines to face Covid -19. Two, Teamwork with Respect. It is throughout respect that we demonstrate the importance of our colleagues as human beings. Remember that our actions with them speak for us. Let’s avoid mockery, pranks, gossips, and promote dialogue and tolerance to enjoy healthy work environments. Let’s remember that Zijin-Continental Gold has zero tolerance with harassing conducts.

ith the employees' wellbeing in mind, while continuing with the measures to avoid contagion and spread of Covid-19, the Company decided to enable common areas and recreational spaces in some hotels that serve as residence for our employees and in campsites. We must adhere to the following recommendations for proper use: Continue practicing proper handwashing. Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow when you cough or sneeze. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes if you have not washed your hands first. Disinfect objects and surfaces that are used by several people. Common areas cannot be used until the hotel's management or lodging allows it. You can only go out of your room to the common areas. You will only leave the hotel to go to work (company facilities) Only foods prepared at the hotel can be consumed. Remember that deliveries are NOT permitted. Using facemask is mandatory at all times, except when eating. Keep a two-meter social distancing. If you have any symptoms, immediately report them to

Let’s remember the requirements for accepting and filing documents

T

he following are the requirements for accepting and filing documents in Zijin - Continental Gold. It is very important that we share this information with different audiences. INVOICES

Purchase order in PDF format. Entry note in PDF format. Invoice date with valid accounting month. For filing direct invoices, they must include the recipient's name. Invoices should only be sent to the email: remisionfactura@ continentalgold.com

DOCUMENTS The invoice must indicate the name of the officer who is the recipient of the document inside the company, without exception. Send the information in PDF. The only email for documents, announcements, notifications, among others is archivo@continentalgold.com The sender’s name has to be in the subject line. All documents are processed only in PDF format.

Due to the Covid-19 contingency, the Company is not receiving printed documents in any filing offices. All documents must be sent electronically to the aforementioned emails.

A

t the end of April and beginning of May, we commemorated two dates at the Buriticá Mine. First, we celebrated the Gender Equality Day which was a reminder of the equality in Zijin-Continental Gold, as we all have the same abilities and talents.

Therefore, we remembered that we are valuable and that in the same proportions, we contribute our work to continue performing Modern Mining. On the second date, we shared a space around Labor Day, our directors said some words at the Mine, and it was also a day to remember how our valuable work dignifies us. We leave you with some images of both dates:

Work harassment prevention talks

A

s part of the corporate commitment with building healthy work environments, we give employees more tools to clearly identify issues such as sexual harassment at work and work harassment, through virtual talks addressed to all the Company's personnel. These sessions were held in Spanish and were also translated for our Chinese coworkers. Their purpose is to prevent unwanted behaviors at work and to promote the use of channels such as Human Resources and Work Coexistence Committee to intervene in any situation that requires it. Workplace harassment is when persistent behaviors by a superior, a coworker or a subordinate, directed at another individual, intended to cause fear, affect the performance of duties, discourage, or induce resignation. Sexual harassment consists of unconsented actions of a sexual nature that harass and intimidate the affected person. All contractor companies need to have a Waste Management Plan

The importance of proper waste separation

This waste management plan must be started from the operational processes of each company. And under special conditions like the ones we are experiencing due to Covid-19, this should also include additional waste daily produced because of its presence in the Mine and surrounding areas, for example: food containers (cups, dishes, cutlery, lunchboxes, bottles, among others), organic waste such as leftover food and other residues from consumable elements such as personal care products' containers and all other items that need to be discarded after use.

These good practices in the comprehensive waste management are part of the Zijin-Continental Gold's Environmental Policy. It is important that each company performs proper waste separation at source. This means that each employee has to dispose waste in the corresponding bin according to its material. This way, items that can be reused or recycled to have other uses, facilitating the recollection process in each collection point.

Members of the National Army and our private security contractor company “Atempi” opened spaces to talk about “Human Rights and Voluntary Principles on Security”. The purpose of these talks is to promote respect for communities, their customs, traditions, and identity. The main subject revolves around the protection of the fundamental freedoms of the community, always giving priority to civilian population; and maintaining proper conducts in the development of operations. Let’s remember that to protect the physical integrity of citizens and their goods, the use of weapons is uncommon and based on a rigorous normative framework of our country's legislation.

You should know

In the Higabra area a joint process was started with the participation of Contractors such as Gisaico, Ingecodi; members of the community and the Company to search for alternative solutions for handling solid waste in the area. Each opinion is important in this process for the joint construction of alternatives for waste management that are sustainable in the short and long term. The most viable option will be agreed, for the benefit of the area.

“The Voluntary Principles on Security” are a set of recommendations seeking to ensure that the task of offering security and protection to the Company's staff and assets is performed without affecting human rights of communities in the area of our operations.
