We are now living with Covid-19, but we still have clear goals. From our CEO
One year working and learning together On March 5, 2020, the acquisition transaction of Continental Gold by Zijin-Mining Group was completed. In other words, from that day on, we assumed control of the company and the mining project currently known as the Buriticá Mine, the most modern underground gold mine in the country. We are celebrating one (1) year together, getting to know our cultures, our way of seeing life, and our way of working. All this is during the setbacks that Covid-19 has caused us, but we can proudly say that we have done our work well. Teamwork and the commitment of management, employees, contractors, and communities have allowed us to achieve a high percentage of our plans. To achieve this, it was essential to work closely with the new mayors of Buriticá, Giraldo, Cañasgordas, and Santa Fe de Antioquia, as well as the departmental and national governments, to prevent the impact of Covid-19 and provide care to infected people. This involved a solid strategy that included our contribution of USD 100,000 to hospitals. Moreover, we can assure that the highlight was completing the construction of the Buriticá Mine, its inauguration, and the start of commercial production on December 3. This allows us to continue generating quality local employment, contribute resources from taxes and royalties, and continue promoting the region's development. In 2021 we will fulfill our work plan together with our employees, contractors, and communities to promote the development of Buriticá and western Antioquia. Thank you all for your work. We started a new basic education process Divier Gómez Higuita In August 2021, Divier will have been with the Company for three (3) years. His goal with this program is to finish tenth and eleventh grades. He wants to continue studying and later focus his career on maintenance and operation of heavy machinery.
35 colleagues and beneficiaries of our compensation fund, Comfenalco Antioquia, began their basic education processes in elementary and high school. For various reasons, they did not complete their studies, but now, with the help of Comfenalco, in agreement with UNAD (Universidad Abierta a Distancia) and Zijin-Continental Gold, they will continue their education. This education is 100% virtual. They will study according to their available time, always with a professor who will answer any questions they may have. In August 2020, four (4) students obtained their diploma of high school graduates thanks to this program: three (3) direct employees and one (1) beneficiary, the daughter of a Company employee. Zijin-Continental Gold is proud to continue supporting its employees in their professional and personal growth. We hope that these months will be very profitable and that you will soon be able to see the results of their efforts.

Wilson Everly Parra Ayala Wilson works in the Mining area and his dream is to one day become a Systems Engineer. He says that he is close to his family and that he has high expectations to move forward with this study that he is about to start, precisely because it is one of the first steps to reach his professional goal. I want to thank the company for giving me the opportunity to validate my studies, because it is never too late to be professionals as it will give us better opportunities in our lives. Trust yourselves and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Company to learn more every day and become better human beings and professionals”, he says.
How do we live Women's Day? At Zijin-Continental Gold we commemorate the traditional International Women's Day, which reminds us of the struggle of women over time in search of equal rights in society. For this reason, this day we were sharing a memorable and special moment with our colleagues in their workplaces. It was a token of affection and gratitude for being the best partners in this path of modern mining from Colombia to the world.

Citizen Service System
The "SIAC" is the system used by the Company for the management, control, and continuous improvement to attend to requests for information, requests for donations, complaints, and suggestions on alternatives for the prevention and mitigation of adverse impacts that may be generated in the development of the activities of both Zijin-Continental Gold and its contractors. It also receives suggestions that contribute to the optimization of the benefits generated by the industrial activity at the Buriticá Mine. It is a permanent communication tool that facilitates the relationship both for the communities in the areas of influence of the Mine, as well as for the local authorities.

You should know: What issues are processed with the SIAC?
The SIAC receives requests, information requests, complaints, claims, and suggestions related to: The activities carried out by Zijin-Continental Gold and its contractors in the subdistricts, townships, and urban areas, including complaints about any impact of our contractors and other issues in which its employees are directly involved. Actions taken by the Military Forces regarding the applicability of the Voluntary principles on Security and Human Rights.

You should remember: When possible, claims should reach a mutual agreement between the parties involved. However, in exceptional cases where consensus is not reached between the parties, the Company, based on the investigations carried out, the analysis of the evidence and arguments presented, will make the most appropriate decision to resolve the situation. This decision will be informed by the Company to the petitioner or person who filed the request. All PQRS (petition, claim, complaint, and suggestion) filed will be duly followed up and solutions will always be focused on dialogue and the joint construction of alternatives.
