At Mina Buriticá

you can choose your food

with the TÚ Eliges App

P

ilot tests of the food service with the TÚ Eliges App began this month at the Buriticá Mine. Every week authorized and trained personnel rotate through different points of the operation to accompany the learning process of the tool. Using this application, those who are working at the mine have the option to schedule between Thursday and Saturday what they will eat during the following week. Employees can choose between different menus from our traditional supplier Duflo and the new local supplier, Higabra Catering. Thanks to this new tool, in addition to having options to choose from, we can optimize food preparation, reduce waste, and save costs. We also supported an enterprise in the Higabra subdistrict, linking it to the Company's value chain. While Higabra Catering is adapting its work dynamics and its growth becomes sustainable, we will continue with the tests in the different points of the operation. The final objective is that we can all choose between two excellent alternatives during the working days. We all have been working together to strengthen ourselves and provide an increasingly better service.

In 2021, Tú Eliges

and technology are your ally to do it!

Some data on our 2020 management

Publishing House James Wang, CEO

Innovation at the service of our employees Innovation and Efficiency are part of our values at Zijin-Continental Gold, as we currently support many of our production processes in technology. And we continue to look for more, which will allow us to be more efficient and to implement better practices in our work. Thanks to this value, one of our recent changes has occurred: the way we order food when we are working at the Buriticá Mine. We now have a new application called TÚ Eliges, which allows us to have two suppliers and several menu options to choose from, optimize food preparation, reduce waste, and save costs. There have already been several weeks of testing, and now we have in the territory the availability of smart areas for the colleagues of the operation to learn how to use this digital tool. We will continue this path, which will soon allow all of us to choose our weekly diet in a natural and easy way. I welcome the launch of this application, because behind it there is a committed work of several areas. The common goal is to generate greater welfare for employees in the midst of the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

2020 brought big challenges and transformations as we had to walk towards our goals in the midst of the spread of Covid-19. In this issue, we would like to share some of the highlights of our 2020 management, as reported in the Sustainability Report. We invite you to learn more about our achievements during the past year.

Renewal with the environmental authority of the department of Antioquia, Corantioquia, of the "Cooperation agreement for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources".

Reputation The Company joined the Sector's Gender Equality Policy Advisory Board. We won the Antioquia 2020 Mining Woman Award. Also, for the second consecutive year, we won the Sello Social Antioquia [Antioquia Social Seal].

I take advantage of these lines to reiterate that we must move forward every day, but always with the greater responsibility of self-care. We cannot abandon our efforts in this battle against the spread of the virus.

Personnel

Remember that it is also a commitment of all of us to take care of ourselves to be free of the virus during quarantines, otherwise we cause a health problem for our colleagues and negatively impact the operation.

I count on you to keep moving forward with the tools we are working on, such as the new App, and to continue to take care of ourselves, our families, and the community.

As a result, we have 12 employees (6 main employees and their respective alternates) committed to continue contributing to the work environment within the Company, and who will be contributing their time and willingness during the next two (2) years.

By law only four (4) members are required. However, we are betting that six (6) people will assume a much more active role of participation, conciliation, and spaces for close conversations with the people who require it.

They also participate in the creation of awareness campaigns to prevent the occurrence of conduct that could be considered workplace harassment.

You should know that Higabra Catering started food service at the Buriticá Mine. Last April 12, the Higabra Catering food service was officially opened at the Platanal casino. Since then, breakfast, lunch, and dinner have been distributed to the personnel of the Buriticá Mine. This new business reality for the Higabra subdistrict and for our Mine is a sign that we can work together (Community and Zijin Continental Gold) to boost the local economy and continue strengthening our relationships as good neighbors of the territories. As the local supplier grows stronger, we will see how the number of employees to be served will increase; always with a clear objective: to continue offering quality and homemade flavor in their preparations.

You should remember

The path followed before Higabra Catering's creation

Higabra Catering and Duflo work together to offer excellent alternatives

This is a project that has joined efforts of five (5) restaurant owners in the Higabra subdistrict, who provided their services individually. They took advantage of the opportunity to advance, receive training, and project themselves as a service that today meets the quality standards required to be a contractor for the Buriticá Mine. The restaurants Sabor Doré, Donde Adiel, Donde Yeny, as well as the restaurants of Luis Felipe Higuita and Jaqueline Moreno joined their efforts to create Higabra Catering. The owners of this group of restaurants have followed a path of personal, associative, and social strengthening led by the Sustainability Management, through its Business Development area.

The two food suppliers at the Buriticá Mine have been working hand-in-hand to improve their service and become stronger. Along the way, both are learning from each other's experiences, and today they are an example of collaborative work. Therefore, Zijin-Continental Gold's direct workers have two good options when it comes to enjoying lunch at the Buriticá Mine during their workdays.

They will continue training and learning to advance more and more in their entrepreneurship and show the best they have through Higabra Catering.
