Thecabisfeaturedwithheatingandventilation. Thesidewindowcanbeopenedandusedasexit incaseofemergency.
Nevercarryoutanyunauthorisedalterationstothe cabwithoutfirst,throughadealer,havingdiscussed thealterationwithpersonnelattheVolvo ConstructionEquipmentEngineeringDepartment. Thisdepartmentwilldecidewhetherthealteration maycausetheTOPS-,ROPS-andOPG-approval tobecomevoid.
Hydraulicsystem
Closedcircuithydraulicload-sensingsystem, allowingfullindependenceoftheindividual movements.
Equipment
Themachinecanbeprovidedwithdifferenttypes ofoptionalequipment,dependingonthe requirementsofdifferentmarkets.Examplesof suchequipmentareattachmentbracketand hammer.
Modifications

Travelsystem
Thetravelmotionisaccomplishedbythemain chassisviatworubbertracks(steeltracksoptionally
available).Thetracksareeachdrivenbyatwo speedtravelmotor.
Slewingsystem
Theslewingringisdrivenbyahydraulicmotor, whichisprotectedagainstexcesspressurebyhigh pressurereliefvalves.
Anti-theftdevice
Ananti-theftdevicemakesitmoredifficulttosteal themachine.Volvooffersananti-theftdeviceas optionalequipment.Ifyourmachineisnotyet equippedwithit,checkthepossibilityofhaving suchadeviceactivatedbyyourdealer.
CareTrack
ThemachinemaybeequippedwithCareTrack,a telematicssystemdevelopedbyVolvo ConstructionEquipment.Thesystemstores machinedata,e.g.,machineposition,operating hours,fuelconsumption,fuellevel,thatcanbesent bywirelesstransmissiontoacomputer.CareTrack isavailableindifferentversions,dependingonthe requiredinformationlevel.
CareTrackmakesiteasiertoplanforserviceand reducescostlydowntime.Productivityisimproved byknowingifmachinesarebeingoperated correctlyandhowmuchfuelisbeingconsumed.
CareTrackalsoallowsthecustomertorestrictthe operatingareaofthemachine,byusingvirtual fences.Thishelpstoeliminateunauthorized machineuseandtheft.Forfurtherinformation, contactaVolvoConstructionEquipmentdealer.
TheCareTracksystemtransmitsdata,inthesame wayamobilephonedoes,withamaximumoutput rateof10W.Thetransmitterisalwaysonandthe operatorcannotswitchitoff.
Localprecautionsandrestrictionsapplicableto mobilephones,forexamplesafetydistance,also applytotheCareTracksystem.

Theguidelineslistedbelowmustbefollowed duringinstallation: Thepositionoftheaerialmustbeselectedto providesatisfactoryadaptationtothesurrounding area.
Theaerialdownleadmustbeofthecoaxialcable type.Makesurethatthecableisundamaged,that thescreenisnotsplitattheendsandthatit thoroughlysurroundsthecontactsheathsand hasgoodgalvaniccontactwiththesame. Thesurfacebetweenthemountingbracketforthe aerialandthepointofattachmentmustbefree fromdirtandoxide.Applycorrosionprotectionto thesurfacesafterinstallationsothatgood galvaniccontactismaintained.
