Before the bell even rings for first hour, students clique together in the commons, hipsters chatting at one table, book worms studying at the next, and techies and their laptops plugged in on the outskirts. Walking though the Alumni hall, up the stairs in the math building, or outside to gym 3, faces subconsciously meet with their perceived stereotype: The band kids can always be heard passing by the 400s building during 0 hour; Each class can identify their class clowns, those outspoken students who drive teachers crazy, yet never fail to liven up the classroom; Sports bags slung over their shoulders and green and gold jerseys worn with pride, the jocks are easily spotted on game day; The brainiacs always set the curve for tests ridiculously high in rigorous AP courses; It's obvious the skaters feel more comfortable with four wheels under them, though prohibited on campus.

In matching practice wear, the pommies head straight to the multi-purpose room after school three days a week, year round.

The same 2,053 students walk the campus five days a week, yet classmates often see just the surface of each other. What lies behind the stereotypes? Well, more than meets the eye...

1 / Cross country runners John Stinebrook(10) and Parker Henzel(11) race down the football field carrying Pratyay Bishnupuri(10) at Green and Gold.

2 / Ashley Wright(9) and Lauren Holmes(11) stand nearby a blood donor to supervise and comfort her. Human Anatomy and Physiology students volunteered their time at the Red Cross Blood Drive. “My favorite part about working the blood drive was helping keep people relaxed so they could donate,” Wright said, who also donated blood.
