FRIENDS OF THE SHENANDOAH RAIL TRAIL is supporting the transformation of an unused single-track railroad corridor from Broadway to Front Royal into a multi-use trail reconnecting communities, businesses, schools, and cultural and historic resources.

♦ There is an urgent opportunity to capitalize on the availability of the corridor to creatively leverage an existing, underutilized resource to positively impact our region.
♦ With initial local, state, and federal government funding in place, private sector commitments will unlock the full public funds required to complete a project of this impact, scope, and scale.
♦ A feasibility study (2021) and economic impact analysis (2021) show the trail is a viable use with significant positive economic impact that will keep the corridor in a beneficial use for the public and therefore our community.
