BÚSQUEDA PLÁSTICA “En ésta última etapa plástica intento que la obra no canse. Que siempre se pueda ver como por primera vez. Que lleve al observador a un estado de no saber sobre lo que se presenta ante sus ojos.

Una pintura que sea como contemplar un árbol antes de saber que es un árbol, o un mar, antes de poder nombrarlo.

Frente a lo no conocido, la mente busca inmediatamente puntos de apoyo; trataré de no dárselos. Cuando la mente se da cuenta de que no puede asentarse, de que no encuentra espacio para definir lo que ve, dejará de intervenir y, seguramente, sucederá otra cosa.

Pretendo una pintura que tenga la capacidad de lograr que el contemplador y lo contemplado se vuelvan una experiencia única. Donde no intervengan los conceptos, las referencias o las alegorías. Donde no hay dos. Toda distancia, toda separación, anula el acto creativo.

Me interesa el juego plástico que desalienta la tentación de la mirada por descubrir algo reconocible. De esta manera no miraremos desde afuera y tampoco habría un mirar en el sentido tradicional. Se trata de que toda contienda entre partes sea superada por la unidad de la experiencia misma.

but to always be looked

at as if it was the first time. I want the observer to feel ignorant about what appears in front of them.

A painting should create the feeling of contemplating a tree before knowing it is a tree, or a sea, before being able to name it.

In front of the unknown, the mind immediately looks for supporting points; I´ll try not to give them to it. When the mind realises that it can´t settle, that it can´t define what it sees, it will stop interfering and something else will certainly happen.

I try to create a painting that can turn the observer and the observed into a unique experience, where there are no concepts, or references or allegories. Where there aren´t two. All distance, all separation destroys the creative act.

I´m interested in the artistic game that discourages the eyes´ temptation to discover something recognisable. In this way, we won´t look from the outside or from a traditional perspective. Every battle between parts should be overcome by the unity of the experience itself. ” Miguel Lo Coco
