Self-love booklet Shaving with razor 15 pages

Idea Development Personal: Start to have laser treatement and the sales person told me that I shaved in a wrong way for many years. Thatʼs why my underarm looks dark and with wrinkles. I feel guilty and surprised since I followed the way that my mother and sister does on shaving.

Later on, I start observing how othersʼ attitude on shaving and what method they used. One of my friends usually pick her hair by tweezer which is a self-love ritual and statisfied process for her. She explained the long process of picking could spend time to observe her body hair which is comfortable self-love for her.

Everyone has different way to define self-love on their body hair. So my friend and I believe doing what you enjoy is something means self-love.

And I realised no one really shave in a right way. Shaving information is most likely come from advertisement and beauty magazine (media asks us shave but never teach us).

Aim: educate teenagers/adults about self-love/shaving knowledge by toys/booklet

Figure which is using adorable outlooking to tell audience that inpendent + strong can be attractive characteristic for woman too.

However, special figure which carries message by outlooking are easily to be seen as hot toys which is for collection only.

It is smart for artist to use outlooking of the character, package illustration and some props to build her character. As an audience I could imagine a story for the doll when playing it.

This may weaken the idea/message told by the character unless there are story and figure at the same time.

Make tool to observe armpit hair (I want to record my armpit hair after 2 times treatment, but it is difficult to draw them out)

Super difficult to observe Lying down is tired for eyes and neck.

Look directly and adjust with hands are the best methods. (Tired for arm) That explains why we never spend time care our armpit since looking at it is difficult too!

Images It seems unusual or challenging to illustrate a world.

Images are easier to give instructions.

Also by images audience can recognize the product inside even the name and loge are erased.

An underarm supporter which actually is an experience for readers to learn shaving and self-love.

To make things interesting, shaving is depicted as farming in which crops (hair) is important for farmer.

Self-portrait It is easy to get free images nowadays but hard to find suitable posture or clothing and keep the same character. Now looks harmonious!

Blurry face can keep audience focus on the reading experience, learned by the last group project.

Mainly dutone images Instructional menu usually printed in single colour for saving money. It is comfortable to turn images in monotone from the risograph experience.

Audience has to read the book through mirror like shaving in front of mirror with hand raised up.

It is a shape that found on the razor and it can be the brand identity.

Improvement

Background With pink background, audience will lost attention inside a page full of pink. So I tired background with another colour like contrast color.

I realise the world in armpit should be dark since we usually put our hands down.

I tired to glue the body hair by gule stick, super glue and white glue.

But all of them leave marks on the page. I will try eyelashes glue if there are hair related project next time.

Also the plastic bag of the package is overheated which has bubbles appears on the sides. I will slightly heated the side to impove the outlooking of the package.

Outcome

Inner pages Pages requires readers to read in front of a mirror

Shave in the direction of the crops growth.

Though razor has lubricating strip, applying shaving cream provides extra care to the field.

Don’t forget to moisturize the field!

I prefer product with aloe vera.

Clean up the field by makeup remover.

Have you ever confused by different crops that are growing in the same area?

Ingrown crops..That can be tricky.

That’s not a big deal, they only grow near to each other. They don’t affect the field.

If it is visible, use a tweezer to pull it out gently.

If not please apply glycolic acid to remove dead skin until the crop shows up.

To be a responsible farmer, I encourage you to observe and care more about the crops.

According to my experience the best way to keep the field healthy...

IS TO BE LAZY!!!

Growing crops in the field looks unattrative.

I mean get some rest, especially in the winter and the dark days.

But they born to be here and protect you for 1 months in this field. Isn’t it romantic?

It may sounds difficult to love the crops. But...
