Refugee Week 17—23 June A UKUK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events celebrating the contribution refuges make to life in the UK and encouraging better understanding between communities This year's theme will be British history and heritage, under the banner of Different Pasts, Shared Futures, sharing the positive contribution refugees have made to Britain throughout history. The Red Cross has a long and rich tradition of providing assistance to refugees, with the first records dating back to
the Turco-Greek war in 1897 to the present day and we now help 10,000 people every year.
