A 42-story residential sky scraper for One Brickell Riverfront that is scheduled to break ground later in 2022 at 99 Southwest 7th Street along the Miami River. The 1.62 acre site will rise to an estimated 481-foot -tall building designed by Arquitectinica, yielding 364 fully-finished and furnished residences with curated interiors by INC and 40,000 square feet of amenities. Units will come in studio, one-and two bedroom floor plans as well as penthouses. The tower will have an attatched 9-story parking structure ornamented with hanging gardensand a massive curved screen and mural.

PARAMETRIC MODELING DESIGN PROCESS The following timeline shows the process of the physical form finding based on the biomimicry inspiration of the spider web and the cable structures of Frei Otto’s German Pavilion. With thd use of Grasshopper and Maya the shape of the net structure created was tested in different forms in which its tensile points were able to sustain the cable pavilion.

WEB PAVILION Miami, Florida Inspired by biomimicry and the design of Frei Otto’s tensile cable structure of his German Pavilion. This project is using the central courtyard at FlU’s Architecture buiding courtyard. Using the method of weaving in order to produce the net and with several trials including material changes, were able to create a system of netting that would cover the courtyard. The design process of the net was then transferred to a digital form where point were made and using the push and pull method to produce tensile moments within the net for the fabrication of the pavilion.

6 AQUATIC RESEARCH LAB Miami Beach , Florida The purpose of this project is to understand and identify the program and activities of the two scientists that will be livng in this laboratory. Designing a carbon neutral module that allows 2 people to work and live. The research the scientists will be doing is based on water quality and the natural environment., which will require them to be in close contact to the water. The total program is within a total max of 800 SF and a spacial volume of 1600 SF. The building system will integrate renewable energy and a climatic responsive envelope with a required deep foundation and a floating foundation. While applying the following design strategies, issues such as sea level rise and the newly built sea wall had to be applied to the design.

DESIGN PROCESS AND CONCEPT

ARTISTA HOUSING COMPLEX Miami Beach, Florida The set of mixed-use buildings are influenced by the artistic movement surrounding South Beach. Being able to accommodate any new coming and evolving artists. Surrounded by several historic and influential buildings such as The Bass Museum, Miami City Ballet and Miami Beach’s Local Library Branch , the site contains a dense amount of cultural institutions that will benefit from a mixed-used housing project. Offering several amenities that future residents will benefit from such as Art Studios, Gallery, Outdoor Entertainment area, Dance Studio and a Ballroom. Each floor has a terrace which allows residents in the building to be able to have a communal space to gather. The automated parking garage located in Building 1 allows a maximum of 50 car spaces making the parking process quicker and promoting urban parking solutions. The building offer different sized units, Building one as bigger residential units with up to a single room. Building 2 has dormitory styled units that can be shared for those residents looking for smaller units. Proposing two separate buildings which continue to be connected through its courtyards and system of terraces. Deriving from a simple concept of interlocking geometry that are commonly used and carving out the shape of the building, creating the system of terraces for both buildings.

Using boolean difference command on Rhino to carve out the shape of the building in order to create stepped terraces.

7 ROW HOUSE Savannah, Georgia The facade of this row house is a screen-like exterior skin with non-structual steel beams that match the retractable roof of the carriage house being able to refract light into the units. The artists of this row house are installation artists that require as much space and light as possible. This facade allows a significant amount of light to filter into the units without being too direct. The interior is designed using a system of proportionate zones distinguishing between the private and public spaces in the unit, giving the artists a large studio spcae to work with with direct light that comes from the garden side of the rowe house. The bedroom space can be closed off and converted into a larger living or studio area that will be maneuvered with a similar screen panel. The initial approach is to improve the quality of light in these row houses that are limited with light due to the parti walls. The amount of lighting distributed within the unit resides on the partuicular space. The living area will be warm and dim with partial light reflecting through the screen facade as opposed to the studio area which which is evenly lit to be a focused working space.

9 AMAZON PRODUCT DESIGN Transitioning from architecture to product design allowed the partnership between degital design and e-commerce. The following projects are reeveluated existing amazon products that were altered and prototyped based on customers needs and input. When reevaluating a product , as designers the terms of marketing and sales are taken incorporated in the design process. The first project is based off of Amazon’s best selling camera strap. Improving the straps design based on the customers opinions and creating your own brand that will represent the company and work that is being modeled. The following project is a modular cake stand that is reusable and and can assembled quicly into a cupcake stand and disassembled into indiviual pastry stands. Merging architectural elements with marketing products can lead to an innovative way of advancing in e-commerce with rapid protyping using three dimensional modeling and printing .

10 ROBOTICS LAB COMPETITION Miami, Florida This competition was intended to propose a new CARTA Robotics, Digital Fabrication and Visualization Lab at FlU. The site is located adjacent to the current architecture school fabrication lab. The programatic composition of the future lab consists of 5 different zones hosting from robotic arms to several 3D printers. In order to exhibit a fully climate resilient structure to adapt to Miami’s subtropical geography, enviornmental strategies were applied. Focusing on sea level rise, inundation, hurricane and tropical storms, energy independence and water filtration.

Building design and placement was implemented to use prevailing winds. Creating corridors to allow breezes to run witin the public areas between the buildings.

All buildings are elvated 4 feet to protect machinery from any possible flooding.

Once the section of the Seed Pavilion was carefully studied , in the following study model the combination of the three different wall loftings are combined. Understanding the way the glass skin is a treshold that can be replicated as a grid throughout the study. The wooden rods integrate with the threshold and creates boundaries within the spaces.
