Carolina Chocolate Chip Cookie

The Carolina Chocolate Chip Cookie promises a delightful and unforgettable way to add a burst of fun and flavor to your upcoming gathering. You may also wish to customize your giant Carolina Cookie by adding sprinkles, nuts, or candies to the mix. Decorate your giant Carolina Chocolate Chip cookie with either homemade icing or store bought icing for a personalized cookie. We have made this cookie for years for our own events to celebrate birthdays, graduations, and more. Slice into 16 equal slices to serve.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Using a mixer, beat butter and sugars together on medium speed until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating until well mixed.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt and baking soda together. Add to mixer gradually (slow setting) and continue beating until combined. Mix in chocolate chips and form a ball with the dough.

Line a 14" round metal pizza pan with parchment paper and place the dough ball in the middle of the pan. Pat the dough flat and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough into a circle. The cookie dough should be about 3/4" from the edge of the pan to allow for expansion during cooking.

Bake for 16-20 minutes, until the cookie is nicely browned. Cool on a cooling rack and cut into wedges after about 8 minutes of cooling.

One ride on this trackless train and you will see for yourself why it has become a crowd favorite at many NC parties and events.

Each car can seat a mix of adults and children. The total ride capacity is 4 passengers per car, or a total of 400 pounds per car Because safety is always our number one concern it is important to know that the train operates on a level, firm surface away from traffic. NO GRADES OF ANY DEGREE! Minimum operating space is 50 feet wide by 75 feet long which is roughly the size of a basketball court.
