_sailing house

Year: 2021

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

Residential design developed at Pascali Semerdjian Softwares: Sketchup and Autocad

This house is located next to a very important and beautiful canal that connects with the sea in Guarujá beach in Brazil. The owners of the house love the water and love the connection the lot has with it. The project was developed considering their big family and also considering the house should face the canal, where the family boat is.

It has a big atrium in the middle of the house, lightening up the living room and bringing a much needed connection with the nature in all senses.

The second floor is where the bedrooms are mostly located. In order to go upstairs, you have to go through the staircase in the atrium and it must feel like you are

outside instead of inside, like the person is going inside a boat to sleep, with a view from the deck.

In this project I collaborated on the design and was entirely responsible for the drafting and documentation. The 3D visualization was developed by João Paulo Machado.

_iporanga house

Year: 2022

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

Residential design developed at Pascali Semerdjian Softwares: ArchiCad

This is a beach house, on the Iporanga beach. The lot is very challenging, with it’s slope, but is also a beautiful location by the sea.

The main idea was to create an open space on the ground floor, the lowest one, where you can enjoy not only the view from the see but also the fact the you are surrounded by nature and on the back you can see the terrain going down.

On the following floors the bedrooms are placed on a way everyone gets a view of the sea.

The way the floors are mismatched allows the creation of terraces and gardens.

The pool on the ground floor faces the sea and connects perfectly with the common area of the house.

In this project I collaborated on the design and was entirely responsible for the drafting and documentation.

The 3D visualization was developed by João Paulo Machado.

_fb house

Year: 2021

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

Residential design developed at Pascali Semerdjian Softwares: Autocad and Sketchup

FB house is a country house, intended to be a place to rest in the country side of São Paulo - Brazil. There is a great slope on the terrain, therefore the common areas are placed on the top of the slope, where there’s a connection with the street, this way when the owners and their guests arrive they are already at the right place to enjoy each other’s company.

On the bottom, the bedrooms and more intimate rooms are placed, with terraces turned to the nature, allowing privacy for each room.

The connection between both floors, besides the stairs, is the visual connection allowed by the atrium created

right by the pool. The atrium creates an important lightening for the hall that connects the rooms.

In this project I collaborated on the design and was entirely responsible for the drafting and documentation. The 3D visualization was developed by Leopoldo Schettino.

_sch house

Year: 2021

Location: São Paulo, Brazil residential design developed at Pascali Semerdjian Softwares: Archicad and Cinerender

SCH house is located on Iporanga beach and is a haven for the weekend. It is designed to fit a big family and to bring them all together on a big common area on the ground floor.

The structure of the house is made in wood and the whole house is modulated in order to work perfectly in this kind of construction.

The big terrace on the roof allows the view of the sea, creating a extra space for reunion.

In this project I collaborated on the design and was entirely responsible for the drafting, documentation and 3D visualization.

_boa vista house

Year: 2021

Location: São Paulo, Brazil residential design developed at Pascali Semerdjian Softwares: Archicad

This project is located on the country side of São Paulo - Brazil and consists in a renovation. The original plan did not have enough space for the kitchen and service area. The aim was to reorder the spaces to serve better the purposes of the client. A big common area was created on the ground floor and on the 1st floor where we had previously two bedrooms, we opened one to the terrace in order to create a resting room for the guests and a very functional suite for the owners.

In this project I collaborated on the design and was entirely responsible for the drafting and documentation. 3D visualization was developed by João Paulo Machado.

Year: 2019

Location: Florianopolis, Brazil

Comercial project developed at Marchetti Bonetti

Softwares: Autocad and Sketchup

This is a contemporary restaurant that aims to go beyond the perfect menu. The premisses of the project were to create a special experience for the client, starting with the spectacular view of the sunset in the exterior area.

There are different spaces for different moments and sensations. The chosen materials are light and unpretentious and the lighting design creates distinct atmospheres.

In this project I was able to contribute to the design, to the choice of furniture and was responsible for the drafting and documentation.

_rancho house

Year: 2022

Location: Florianopolis, Brazil Residential project developed alone.

Softwares: Archicad and Cinerender

This is a getaway house for a family. They wanted a small and cosy house to reunite the family while they enjoy the outside, cooking and around the fireplace. The main idea of the design was to divide the house between the living area and the intimate area, where the bedrooms are, and the connection between them is, of course, the kitchen. All of the living area is a open space plan, so everyone will be connected despite the activity they are doing.

The most special thing about this house is that it was designed to follow the sun. Although it is located in Brazil, this site is a place where it’s very cold and the sunlight very desirable. So, it works like a schedule:

in the morning until mid-afternoon you can stay the backwards patio, while cooking lunch and enjoying the sunlight with outdoor activities, people can dine at the big table all together and after settling everything down in the kitchen, they can move on to the living room and enjoy the most beautiful sunset in the mountains while having the heat of the fireplace and a glass of wine in the big couch.

_camc unisul

The challenges of this project was to fit a lot of spaces in the same linear room and also to work with a low budget.

CAMC UNISUL is a space for med school students to rest, eat and have meetings.

The solution to one of the challenges was to take advantage of the linear format of the room, fitting everything they needed to make they day-today life easier.

Concerning the budget, the solution was to use painted OSB panels. The result was a very beautiful textured colourful panel.

The room has a very high celling, to reduce this sensation of disproporcionality, we painted the celling black and installed floating panels with built-in lights.

_spacial music: music school of florianopolis

Year: 2020

Location: Florianopolis, Brazil

Academic work, individual, thesis project

Softwares: ArchiCad, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

The Music School of Florianópolis is a project intended to be a public space, for everyone who wants to learn or enjoy music.

The school is located at Florianópolis, which is a city in the south of Brazil, an island colonized by azoreans (Portuguese people from Azores) and it’s city centre is a historical preserved area where you can find some neo-classic and eclectic constructions that shelter, in the present time, some cultural spaces such as museums and artistic meeting places, which are highlited in black on the model aside.

The location of the project (highlighted in yellow) is in between to of the most important open spaces of the city centre, the Getulio Vargas’ square and the XV de Novembro Square. It is a connection point between them and also between the other cultural buildings. This is a starting point in the project, meaning it’s supposed to be a space to connect, it also represents where the project must arrive, the aim.

Therefore, the development of the project happens in order to create connection, to make the space work in terms of space and acoustic, and to communicate with the surrounding historical preserved buildings.

“The physical space is one thing, but the space for the project is another one. Also the space is not a starting point, but is the arrival. To understand what is the space is already to design a project.”

_accademia di belle arte di brera

Year: 2018

Location: Milano, Italy

Academic work, developed in group of two Softwares: ArchiCad, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

This project is a proposition for the new campus for the Fine Arts Academy of Brera, in Milan - Italy. It was designed in the old military quarter, therefore, it was necessary to work with the existing historical buildings.

We proposed a linear building that functions as a spine, connecting the existing buildings and working as support for them, with libraries, study rooms and an art gallery.

On top of one of the buildings that the spine connects with, we placed a plate, where the auditorium will function. It’s bold location also

provides the perfect interface between the street and the school. Students can see the building from far away and also use it as a covered square, to meet and to be protected from the weather. It represents perfectly the connection the school aims to have with the city, because the auditorium is the main space that’s open for the public of Milan to use.

_inhabited street

Year: 2019

Location: Florianopolis, Brazil

Academic work developed individually

Softwares: ArchiCad, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

The aim of this project is to create a safe space for temporary housing and for interaction, to welcome homeless people.

The site of the project is in the city centre of Florianópolis - Brazil, the main challenges were to overcome the city’s regimentation (master plan), to insert everything needed for the building to work and also to function well for those who were going to use it.

The chose solution was to divide the building in two blocks, one for housing and another one for communal use. This solution also provided some much needed features, as more openings, allowing more sunlight to enter different parts of the building and proper ventilation.

It also created a great usage flow given that people

using apartments wouldn’t be bothered by the collective activities unless they want to participate.

The lot had a level difference between one street and another so it was possible to create a entrance for the reception and a more open entrance that merges with the street, with a cafe and space to remain protected from the weather.

_colonia elioterapica di vercelli

Year: 2018

Location: Milano, Italy

Academic work developed in group of four Softwares: Sketchup, Autocad, Adobe Photoshop

The Colinia Elioterapica di Vercelli is located in a small village near Milan - Italy, it is a historical heritage building. Multiple parts of the building were out of use because of the degradation of the construction, but it is a very important place for the village, where some groups of veterans and groups of fire-fighters reunite weekly.

The aim of the project was to create a safe and comfortable place for this reunions and also for the village to get to know more of the history behind those walls through an interior renovation, respecting the heritage.

The concept we created was to divide the open spaces with circles that are ether represented on the floor or on the furniture, to surpass the feeling of being in or out.
