All curriculum is based on the Ellis & Associates lifeguard course Dryland training includes three levels of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, as well as first aid, the Heimlich maneuver, defibrillation, and scanning drills, as well as the use of certain equipment such as lifeguard tube, and automated external defibrillator (AED), and oxygen Basic rescues, GID (guest in distress) drills, lifeguard chair jumps, rapid extrications, and spinals will all be part of the in-water training Participants must have a water bottle, towel, swimsuit/swim trunks, and a snack (no nuts) All participants receive a certificate of completion and a whistle to keep.
