MPs unanimously agreed to wrap up debate on Bill C-5 (creating national day for truth and reconciliation) on Friday, fast-tracking its passage and sending it on to the Senate. The move comes a day after a First Nation in B.C. confirmed discovery of the remains of215 children buried in unmarked graves on the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, It will get a lot uglier as the churches and governments are confronted again and again with hard evidence of gross criminality. The official number of children dying while at residential school is 4,100, but others have put the number at over 50,000. The 215 bodies discovered in Kamloops were undocumented and this is likely the tip of the iceberg. For those seeking a broader coverage and context of this, go to The Tyee online . •
