Dale Carnegie Principles -- For Enhancing Interpersonal Interactions and Building High Performance Teams
You will Strengthen Relationships if you:
1. Don’t Criticize, Condemn, Or Complain.
1.1. Criticizing another person not only damages that person’s reputation, but puts a dent in our own.
1.2. Stop yourself every time you hear a critical remark or condemnation or a complaint coming out of your mouth.
1.2.1. Was the remark necessary?
1.2.2. How did the remark add to the conversation?
1.3. Many have tried to go a whole week without violating this Principle – this is much harder than it seems.
1.4. I want to get to the point where others say, “Never an unkind word comes out of his mouth.”
