I remember when I heard God’s voice for the first time, it was nothing like I had ever experienced before. Words came into my heart that I didn't know that I needed to hear. Words that were given by a voice that was both as loud as thunder and as soft as a whisper. In a single moment, everything for me changed. Lies of unworthiness that I had built my identity upon came tumbling down. God spoke to me. The maker of the universe spoke to ‘ me ’ fromhisthroneofglory.
Iwasforeverchanged.
Perhaps you have had your own experience of hearing from God or are on a journey of seeking and discovery. Perhaps you are asking questions, like I did, ‘God are you real?’ and ‘ can you show yourself to be real in my struggles and circumstances of my life?’ .
God’s unshakeable promise to you is that as you seek after Him with all of your heart He promises to be found. God is not hiding. His presence is to be found everywhere. With a single press, the camera shutter responded, ushering in the lifelong rhythmic dance of wonder and creative expression that I embraced. For me, penning words onto paper and softly shimmering in the realm of visual art transcended mere hobbies; they are a harmonious duet of God-given gifts, echoing the melody ofmyenduringromancewithwonder.
In a world saturated with noise and haste, I found delight in the lyricalwaltzoflightandshadow,theresonantechoesofnature,and thetimelessbeautyofmomentsmemorializedonfilm.
From the tender age of 8, outfitted with my parents' dust-covered camera,Iembarkedonalifelongjourneythatwouldweavetogether three of my most-treasured grace gifts: creative writing, "an innate good eye" for visual art, and a childlike sense of wonder that I’d neveroutgrow.
But my journey wasn't merely about collecting or displaying noteworthy images; it was about yielding to the precious Holy Spirit everyday, and embracing a deeply-held sense of wonder that transcendedthemundane.

Turning Pages: How My Journaling Habit Blossomed into a Writing Career
Writing has always come naturally to me as a way to express myself. Whether it was journaling or poetry as a lovesick teenager, penning words to paper just seemed to scratch an itch that nothing else could. I just knew that I would become a published author one day, but I didn’t knowwhatthatwouldlooklike.Goddid,though.
While on my own spiritual growth journey, I became a certified Spiritual Growth Coach and decided to attend a writing and speaking conference that summer. I called myself a writer, not yet an author, and I figured it wouldbeagreatwaytomakeconnectionsandopenupopportunities.
Speaking opportunities opened up, my coaching ministry, Butterfly BeginningsCoaching,startedtakingoff,andIfoundmyselfreally “finding inthepursuitofhelpingothers.ThenIdecidedtowriteabook.
I managed to churn out 25,000 words in about a month, and then I becamepregnantanddecidedtoputthebookonhold — knowingthatif God called me to it, He would see me through it. Not to mention I was stuck. I thought I had written all there was to write, and it wasn’t flowing aseasilyasIthoughtitshould.
Fast-forward to the beginning of the next year, which happened to be 2020, and I was offered a speaking engagement at a women’s retreat later that fall. I immediately knew that it was God telling me to pick it back up — soIdid.
The second draft of the book was much harder. I questioned myself every step of the way, and yet God breathed newlifeintomybook,changingthestructureandformatandmakingitcloserto50,000words — arealbook.
I remember a specific instance where I was writing one chapter and I thought to myself how amazing it would be tobeabletohelpotherwomenwriteandsharetheirstories.

Here I am, four years later, and God has opened doors that I could not even have imagined. I am the author of “The Butterfly Blueprint: How to Renew Your Mind and Grow Your Faith,” and a co-author of seven other books, includingtheinternationalbestseller, “TheArtistHaven.”

A Legacy of Faith and Resilience Pain to Purpose: The Bible Inheritance. A Story of Hope

These words from Hebrews 13:5 encapsulate the unwavering faith that my birthmother, Beryl Rayner (nee’ Wallis), carried in her heart and soul throughout her life. From losing her mother at the tender age of three to the day she passed away, Beryl lived in the comfortingpresenceofJesus.
Inside her Bible, I found a handwritten prayer, a testament to her extraordinary faith. This prayer, written with conviction, reflected her absolute belief in God's presence through every season of her life.
Beryl wrote this prayer in July 1988, the same month she received my letter and photos introducing myself and my family. I am her firstborn child, relinquished into closed adoption in 1948 due to societal pressures on unmarried mothers. For forty years, closed adoption laws kept us apart, but our reunion in 1988 was nothing shortofmiraculous.Itremainsahighlightandawondrousexperienceinmylife.
As we sat together in her home in Palmerston North, New Zealand, she shared her stories of grief and loss. These stories, filled with pain and resilience, shaped her journey after relinquishing me for adoption. No wonder she became an exceptional Christian grief counsellor, offering love, compassion, patience, and unwavering faith in Jesustothoseinneed.
After my relinquishment in 1948, Beryl’s life was a tapestry of joy and sorrow. She married, had two children, endured four miscarriages, and then had two more children. A suicide attempt marked a turning point where God's intervention saved her. After separating from her alcoholic husband for five years, she welcomed him back sober. They spent their final years together, rebuilding their relationship and family bonds. Sadly, just two years later,herbelovedGeorgediedfromamassiveheartattack.Itwas1980,andBerylwaswidowedat52.

Her moments of deep pain and despair became the cornerstone of her service as a Christian grief counselor. As a high school teacher and a community member, she offered a unique service rooted in her personal experiences of grief and loss. Her love for her family was boundless—mother of five, grandmother to twenty, and great-grandmother to more than wecouldcount.
Every moment with Nana B was sacred. Over 300 people attended her funeral, a testament to her profound impact on so many lives. Beryl’s legacy in Christ Jesus is beyond measure, abeaconoffaithandresiliencethatcontinuestoinspireusall.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that I found myself quite lost as a Christian woman, after many seasons that did not go to plan, and having to grieve the way I thought my life would go. It was a long season of a complete loss of purpose, vision, and direction, of surviving not thriving, with my health on the line, and where deep sadness and confusion prevailed. Yet, deep down I somehow knew in the midst of the chaos, that God still had a plan for me, that he wouldsomehowusemystory,andturnmypainintogain.
Ilookbacknow,andIrealise ‘itwasn’tasitseemed’.Allofthatwas actually part of the preparation for today. Truth was, I was always trailblazing and trying to find smarter ways to do things. When others gave up, I wouldn’t settle. I was challenging things others chose to simply accept. I went after answers where others refused to ask questions. I got intentional about getting clear on who I was created to be and why I was put here. I didn’t want to simply exist, I wanted to live with intention and create a beautiful masterpiece out of my life. As a twin mum, ‘double’ speed became my norm in every way. God wasted nothing, and there were gold threads and silver linings that were to matter greatly, years later. My survive turned intomythrive,therestishistory,thefutureunwritten.
While my life and its purpose didn t quite pan out the way I envisioned, God later positioned me in a very unique lane of activating and honouring my purpose in business, writing my own books The Christian Entrepreneur’ , Your Life, Your Masterpiece, contributing to other books ‘10K Boss’ , ‘Amazing Mumpreneurs’, and ‘Courageous Voices Unlocked’, speaking at conferences, workshops, building brands, championing people, and much more. Most importantly, he put a burning fire on the inside of me to live out my purpose of ‘unlocking potential’ and ‘initiating change’, and I get to outwork that in everything I do including in my Marketing & Change Leadership companies.
‘Australia First!’ is the declaration of the Tent of Promise whichbegan30yearsagoontheGoldCoast,Qld,byBishop BarryandPastorSandraCunnington.
Recently completing their 300th crusade, the Tent has travelled around Australia with a visual ministry presenting the gospel in a 30metre long painting of the bible. This ‘bible panorama’ as it is called, depicts the Old and New Testament from Genesis through to Revelation, with plenty of opportunity to talk to viewers about their relationship with Jesus and to offer prayer for salvation, healing and freedom.
The Tent of Promise has lost count of the salvations they have had but estimate over 18,000 people have asked Jesus into their lives through the Tent ministry. Many more have received physical healing and freedom after ministry with theTentteam.
With Barry’s daughter, Kristen, now at the helm, the Tent visits Australian towns at the invitation of a church, with the ‘big’ tent for night meetings, and the smaller gazebo tent which houses the bible panorama which is open during the day.

Just this year, two people with dissociative identity disorder were healed and made whole. Generational curses and sin were broken over family lines. Familiar spirits were broken off families. There were healings from autism and OCD; also, vision and hearing problems, a brain tumour, feet, knees and backs were healed. There was deliverance from the occult, sexual sin and lust, plus so many, many more than can be recounted, all by the power of God.
A local minister of 40 years missioning Australia reported back, “After having witnessed the Sunday night at Ulmarra, I’m convinced healing waters are flowing in the Tent of Promise. Lord Jesus heals all physical, emotional, mental, psychological, spiritual wounds, sicknesses, diseases, even the unknown, undiagnosed or unseen. In one little town of just 200 people in NSW, the Tent had only one salvation, but God had a divine appointment for this woman. She was the outspoken town clairvoyant! God touched her greatly, she is now the town evangelist! And oh, what a transformation! Out with demonic spirits and in with the powerful spirit ofGod.
One young man in Qld heard of the major deliverance of his brother and mother, from enemy spirits, in a NSW crusade. Thus, he hot footed to the next tent crusade and came to each night meeting. He had his own major deliveranceandwassetfreeoftendemonicspirits.
God has also used the tent for His match making purposes, one couple met in the tent last year when they shared a blanket on a particularly cold night. They came back the following year and announced they were marryingthenextweekandtheygotwaterbaptised. WeserveagreatGod!

A typical week in the Tent begins on Tuesday as they travel to the next town and set up camp. Tuesday night is information night for the local host church with bible panoramatraining.
Wednesday is tent set-up day, which can be a long physical day and hard work, with an ‘all welcome’ prayer meeting at night.
Thursday through to Sunday they’re open for business in the bible panorama during the day and public revival meetings each night, sometimes not leaving the tent until midnight.
Sunday morning is often church in the tent with the local churchandanyoneelsewho’dliketoattend.
Monday is pack-down day and a night’s well-earned rest to getreadyforTuesday'straveldaytothenexttown.
The team meets each morning for Team Time where they pray,takecommunion,communicatetheday’splan,ordoa shortbiblestudyifthereistime.
It’ s an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ ministry, just as in the book of Acts,wheretheyeat,work,andpraytogether.
As we draw closer to the second coming of Christ, time is short. So, we urgently need to be out there spreading the good news of the free gift of salvationavailablethroughJesusChrist.
Another team member, with regular divine visions, keepssaying: ‘TheKingiscoming!’ So,there’sanurgency!
In this time we’re living in, there is turmoil in the world, but our loving, creator God remains the same, pouring His love over us with signs and wonders. Australia is the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is on a mission to see this country won for Him, and He’s taking the Tent of Promise withHim!

I’ve created an acronym to remind myself to P.R.A.Y.
Satan cannot read our minds, so I make it obvious that any attack from him defeats his purpose and drives me closer to my Heavenly Father. There are many postures for prayer: bowing our heads, kneeling, assuming a child’ s pose, or lying prostrate.
Personally, I find raising my right hand particularly meaningful, as Scripture speaks of God holding our right hand. I raise mine in prayer, praise, worship, and even while reading scripture or listening to podcasts. Additionally, holding hands out with palms up or lifting both hands are powerful ways to submit to our Father.
RRecognize
When overwhelmed, I ground myself by recognizing my dependence on God in gratitude. I thank Him for three things I can see, hear, smell, feel, and taste.
AArticulateAloud
Proverbs 18:21 NIV says, "The tongue has the power of life and death." Declaring my gratefulness aloud, as opposed to just thinking my prayer, engages more of my brain and turns my feelings by changing my thoughts. So, I articulate aloud the promises of God and praise Him for being in control.
YYield
Finally, I yield my pain to His will so He can use it for a purpose. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV) There is no better place to leave our concerns for better outcomes than in God’s hands.
