Want to turn that steer into steak? Our club will assist in processing arrangements if you require assistance. We have reserved a number of hooks at different local processing facilities if you require. All processing costs, unless prior arrangements have been made, are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Want to re-sell your steer? We have made arrangements with Prairie Livestock for buyers wishing to resell their steer. Contact Dave for details.

The weight provided is current at the time of printing.

Steer weights could increase by 50-100 lbs by sale date.

My name is Cheyanne Doud and I live in the middle of nowhere, but go to school and work in Kipling, Sask. This year I’m topping off my ninth year of 4-H, and it’s been a rewarding one at that.

Apart from 4-H, I’m also interested in sports, travelling, and student leadership. As this year is drawing to a close, I know I’ll be glad to carry out my big bad plans for the summer. I am Cole Gawryluk. I am 17 years old and am in grade 12. I am currently employed at Borderland Co-op in Whitewood and at Goodman Steel in Rocanville. Following graduation, I will be working towards my Journeyman Welding Certificate.

My favorite thing about 4-H is that you learn new things. My market steer’s name is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is an Angus Limousin Cross and he was born on March 15, 2014. My hobbies are dirt biking and mudding.

Hi! My name is Emily Wushke. I am sixteen years old and this is my ninth year taking part in 4-H. I live on a farm west of Whitewood and I go to school in Whitewood; I am in grade 11 this year. This year, I will be showing a Market Steer, Heifer as well as a Cow/Calf pair. My steer’s name is Baymax and my heifer is Marci, both are purebred Red Angus. My continuation cow calf is also a purebred Red Angus and is named Daisy.

In my spare time, I LOVE to read, play piano, listen to music and sometimes do crafts, such as making cards. I also love to cook/bake. I have a part–time job at Pharmasave in Whitewood, where I work after school two or three days a week and many weekends. My most favorite thing about 4-H is learning and improving our life skills. We are constantly learning new tips and tricks for different skills such as public speaking, judging and how to work as a team. It is great knowing we will be able to use these skills, and many more, for the rest of our lives. An added bonus is that, at all of the different events, you are presented with an opportunity to meet new friends and you get to know other people and their ideas.

Hello, my name is Kelly Doud. I’m seventeen years old and I’m from Kipling, SK. My hobbies are reading, knitting, Netflix, DIY projects, running and swimming. This summer, I am looking forward to teaching swimming lessons at the pool.

This is my eighth year in 4-H and I’m loving it! I’m taking a market steer of the Black Angus variety.

His name is Itchy. My favourite thing about 4-H is Sale Day, because nothing feels better than going through the ring after all of your hard work, even without the winning slap.

My steer’s name is Suspect and my heifer’s name is MCL Dreamer 85B. This is my final year in 4-H, but my plan for the future is to stay involved in 4-H and agriculture.

Hi! My name is Calvin Murphy. I’m fourteen years old, from Wapella, SK and this is my sixth year in 4-H. I really enjoy 4-H and love how you make new friends and learn so many different skills. This year I have a market steer project, born April 26, 2014, that I named Nos. Nos is a Shorthorn steer that I chose from an early age, because of how wide he is across the top. I also have a heifer project, named Molly. Molly was born April 15, 2014 and is a Gelbvieh Shorthorn Cross that I feel will be a good addition to my little cow herd. Aside from farming, my other passion is football. I am a linebacker for the Moosomin Generals and this year I have an opportunity to play in a tournament with Sask Selects in Kansas, USA in November that I am already looking forward to.

Hi, My name is John Hogberg and I am from Langenburg, SK. I am part of the Whitewood 4-H Beef Club. I’m 13 years old going on 14 and in grade 8. I’m the current “Show Cattle Manager” at our family farm Bar-H Land & Cattle. This year I have a Simmental Angus crossbred steer. His name is Lunchbox and he was born on February 1, 2014. I also have a Purebred Registered Black Angus Continuation Cow/Calf and a Purebred Registered Black Angus Yearling Heifer.

After I finish school, I plan on going to Hutchison Community College in Hutchison Kansas, U.S.A and taking Animal Science.

I hope to make the Livestock Judging Team, then try and get accepted into Kansas State University to take the same thing.

So hopefully, I save up enough money to do that with all of the steers I’ve shown in the past and will show in the future.

This year I have a heifer and a steer project. My heifer’s name is Nala and she is Red Angus. My steer’s name is Simba and he is a Simmental Red Angus. I can guarantee that he will taste delightful on your BBQ. Let the bidding begin on July 2 at the Whitewood Auction Barn.

I have an absolute passion for Agriculture and I love showing cattle. I also enjoy playing many sports like badminton, volleyball and soccer and track and field.

4-H has been a very rewarding experience and the skills I have learned will be very useful to me in the future.

I enjoy fitting my steer and heifer at shows.

When not in the barn I like to knit, science club, watching TV and camping.
