George E.I. Wilvers 1937 - 2019
Surrounded by family, George Wilvers passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 1, 2019 in Virden, MB at the age of 81 years. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 18 years, Yvonne Leroy; his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Laurette and her children, Kyle (Candi), Emily (11) and Kristan (Liam), Connor (4) and Owen (2); Collette (Joël) and their children Stéphane and Gabrielle (Jean-Bocar); Gilles (Diane) and their children Brett, Courtney, and Jaime-Lynn; stepson Rudy (Annie) Leroy and their children Kristie (Donny), Sadie (13), Emily (11), Sarah (9), and Parker (5) and Michael (Kelsie) and Claire (2); sister Lorraine (Jean) Lalonde and brother Roland (Joyce) Wilvers; great-aunt Simone Magotiaux. George is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife of 29 years Irene (Cop) Wilvers; parents, Jean and Lambertine (Peters) Wilvers; parents in-law Wilfrid and Irma (Petit) Cop; brother Marcel and sister Jeanne (Pierrard); as well as in-laws, a niece and a nephew. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maurice R.C Church, Bellegarde, SK with Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery immediately following the service. All are welcome to join the family at the Bellegarde Community Hall for the luncheon. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sask., S4P 2R3.
