Stanislas “Stan” Joseph Martin Poirier 1932 - 2020 Stan Poirier passed away at his home near Manor, Sask. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Stan will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife of 62 years, Lucille (née Cruywels); daughter Anita (André) Le Nouail and their children: Jérémie, Sara (Nick) Komarnicki, Eric and Stephen; daughter Jacinthe (Ron) Stokotenly and their daughter Janelle; son Donald; daughter Adeline (Bryon) Wiens and their children: Nigel, Jordan (Linda and their children: Brody, Brynn and Declan) and Riley; son Jerome (Carol) and their children: Nathan (Marie-Laure and their children: Solène, Mélina and Emeric), Brittany (Kourtlin Reddick and their children: Alexine, Alera and Arri), Jaelene (Chase Boettcher and their children: Wyatt, Owen and Karlee), Linden (Eilysh) and Cassandra (Carter) Zander and Seth; son Alain (Tammy) and their children: Catlin, Victoria and Adriana; son Claude (Tory-Dawn) and their daughter Rayanne; daughter Lianne (Maury) Stephensen. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother-inlaw Regina Cruywels and siblings: Cécile Chicoine, Elizabeth Leclerc, Rita (Bob) Olyarnyk, Bernadette (Lucien) Kenler and Antoinette (Don) Andersen; step brother Germain (Dolores) Brisbois. Also left with memories of Stan are his sisters-inlaw and brothers-in-law: Ghislaine Poirier, Lawrence (Odette) Cruywels, Marilyn (Alfred) Blerot, Meryle Cruywels and Denis (Cindy) Cruywels, and many nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by his parents: Ovila and Lucienne; brothers: David (Margaret), Maurice, Jean (Eveline), Lucien, Edouard, Adrien, Percy and Jim; sisters: Adrienne, Marie and Thérèse (Antonio) Boutin; father-in-law Guillaume Cruywels; brothersin-law: Maurice Leclerc, Maurice Chicoine, Richard Keen and Armand Cruywels; nephew Roy Boutin; nieces: Suzette Boutin Fafard and Joanne Soroka. The Prayer Service was held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Both services were held at St. Raphael R.C. Church, Cantal, Sask. with Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. Following the Funeral Mass, the Rite of Committal took place at the parish cemetery, after which everyone was invited to join the family for a luncheon at the Alida Memorial Hall, Alida, Sask. If friends so desire, donations in Stan’s memory may be made to STARS Air Ambulance, 2640 Airport Road, Regina, Sask., S4W 1A6. Dustin Hall & Yvonne Clark with Hall Funeral Services, Redvers assisted the Poirier family.
