JENEN ADEN LITTLE ADEN YEMEN

Jenen Aden, Little Aden project is a feasibility master plan study for a new mixed use township on a coastal site occupying 1,100 acres, west of Aden. This project is to design an integrated coastal resort township at Little Aden in the south of Yemen with self-contained, secure and incorporate residential, hotel, commercial, club, education and healthcare components together with two commercial marinas with a requirement of respect to local vernacular, historical and cultural traditions. The master plan maintained the topographic profile of the site which was broadly dissected by a main ridge. Residential, resort, club and small scale commercial uses were located on the site east of the ridge and institutional, residential and educational uses were located on the site west of the ridge. Exclusive hill top villas are located on the ridge-top enjoying spectacular panoramic sea views to the south. The master plan promotes the use of local building forms, materials and construction traditions and to benefit the surrounding community.
