Elmina West Central Park Phase 1 Shah Alam, Selangor The Elmina West Central Park is a massive 300-acre forest park designed within the city of Elmina, Shah Alam. This forest park is envisaged to be an extension of a 2700-acre adjacent forest reserves and embrace the concept of a holistic wellness city. A 55-acre parkland is the first phase of the park that was finely crafted with the ‘Spirit of Plantation’ approach to thread closely with key elements in the overall wellness and liveability concept that focuses on site, body, and mind. The overall layout is designed to ensure the entire park is inclusive and accessible for all visitors. The park was later adopted and selected by UNICEF to kick start its worldwide inclusive playground and park program. In effort to bring in the soul from the adjacent forest reserve, the Elmina West Central Park has introduced and replanted hundreds of endangered species listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This endeavour has reduced the extinction list and brought back numerous endangered fruit species which has been marginalised and forgotten by the current generation. The Elmina West Central Park has become an important destination or a mini arboretum for tree study and future references.
