Rising from a landscape of lush foliage is a kernel of an idea: that parks and gardens serve a higher purpose beyond that of visual appeal and recreation. The expert weaving of greenery and amenities defines the identity of a development, creating a captivating tapestry of harmony and delight that anchors the community by providing a space for shared activity and celebrations, helping residents function at their best. WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY BROUGHT THIS IDEA TO LIFE IN TWO VERY DIFFERENT DEVELOPMENTS, PLAYING ON THE DISTINCTIVENESS OF THE HIGH RISE URBANITY OF SETIA SKY RESIDENCES AND THE EXCLUSIVE LANDED ENCLAVE OF SETIA ECO PARK.

inspired by nature

made from the heart Before the invention of machines and mass production, people of all levels of life used furniture which was handmade and often inspired by the surrounding grace of Mother Nature. Each exquisite piece was made with heart and soul. However, due to modernisation, fewer pieces of furniture are now being handmade; the process has been replaced by machines in mass production houses and factories. At ISOFU, we bring you back to basics and delight you with the best of our handmade art, inspired by mother nature and crafted with our heart and soul.

PEACOCK

BONGO

The beauty of the peacock and its beautiful feathers touched our heart, therefore we designed our range of outdoor furniture as a tribute to the beauty of this bird’s form and shape. Each piece, with elegantly simple lines and patterns, fully reflects the beauty of a peacock and stands on its own as a piece of art.

We ventured into different cultures and found the element of music which beats deep in our hearts. Hence, we created BONGO, with its different forms and shapes, resembling a drum, handmade to perfection with simple lines and an organic profile, perfect as an outdoor art piece.

The resilience and flexibility of bamboo inspired this series which consists of only vertical and horizontal lines. Simple and delicate, each line is perfectly utilised to form the ideal curve, shape and form to suite your body and provide the right level of comfort needed.

This range is a woven piece which is compact and solid, providing full support, especially for seating. The form and shape is simple and less organic when compared to our other range of products yet by no means is it any less functional or less aesthetically pleasing.

MY WATERWAY Punggol, Singapore

TAMAN ADDA HEIGHTS

Surbana International Consultants Pte. Ltd.

Malik Lip & Associates Sdn. Bhd.

Punggol Waterway provides integrated ‘waterfront living’ experiences with water-based recreational activities for residents living in the north-eastern part of Singapore.

The centerpiece of ADDA Heights is a 25.86 acre public park which creates a place of interaction, with elements shaped by the forces of nature.

The Punggol Waterway has enabled Punggol Town to be labeled as ‘A Waterfront Town of the 21st Century’, the first in Singapore. With a good mix of commercial, residential, cultural and recreational facilities, the design provides integrated ‘waterfront living’ experiences with water-based recreational activities for residents living in the north-eastern part of Singapore. With three key design elements; Green, Water and People, this effective storm water management programme brings people closer to water, provides a beautiful environment for all to enjoy, creates communal spaces and offers water-based recreational activities, which all play an important role in the success of the waterway.

Johor Bahru

ADDA Heights is conceived to be an up-market mixed residential development within the established and vibrant Tebrau Corridor in Johor Bahru. The park comprises a central lake, created from the extension of a retention pond with a small wetland as its upper stream. Two bridges gracefully span the lake, together with water cascades and a weir, clad in river boulders. A silt trap and wetlands filter the water with aquatic and semi-aquatic plants, ecologically improving the water quality of the lake. In line with promoting sustainable design, the park also incorporates rainwater harvesting for its toilets and creation of a green open swale replaces conventional, open drains. An island habitat sanctuary sits serenely upon the lake, creating a visually peaceful vista for the eye.

CASA TROPICANA

Walrus Design Sdn. Bhd.

Wein Design Sdn. Bhd.

Built on limited space and undulating terrain, MK 11 inspired a ‘multi-layered’ landscape design solution. The concept of ‘stacking’ landscape elements provides functional use of spaces within limited allocated recreational areas.

Casa Tropicana is where one finds peace to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul. Escape to a shaded spot for some private time, or enjoy a pleasant stroll amongst the gardens whilst taking in the green sights and the fragrant hints of nature. It is an abode beyond compare.

The design links multiple layers and recreational spaces via combinations of water, planting and light. Furthermore, the design elements, in an organic form, depict the shape of “Fluid”, and allow the landscape deck to seamlessly permeate through levels and spaces without any juxtaposing rigid forms.

Tropicana

Casa Tropicana represents a residence of comfort and style, with spacious interior layouts and quality finishes. The serene resort style living comes complete with refreshing views of lush greenery. The undulating lawn spaces behave like a sea of green waves and ensure a sense of serenity and quietude greets the residents. The warmth of the morning sun gently envelopes the surrounding environment. To ensure residents live a pampered life, extensive facilities are at their full disposal. Swimming pools, a spa and gymnasium, a sky garden and sport facilities are all within reach at the podium garden level.

MON’T CALLISTA ENTRANCE GATEWAY JOHOR BAHRU

Urban Design Group Sdn. Bhd. Mon’t Callista creates green spaces and new experiences via unconventional methods. Pushing the security checkpoint further inside creates an additional 100m of green space and lush tropical ambiance as a welcoming statement. Mon’t Callista is a Semi-D housing development with greenery nestled between each property. In these new urban townships, the home-coming experience for residents is always a priority, hence this project showcases the landscape architect’s ability to create green spaces and new experiences in an innovative way. The unconventional method of pushing the security checkpoint further away from the main road creates an additional 100m of green space and lush tropical ambiance as a welcoming statement. Plants, such as Frangipani trees, are positioned in an artistic shape which reflects the idea of a flower presentation, as if welcoming an honoured guest. In addition, the guardhouse is placed at a 45 degree angle with the road, which creates better visibility for the security staff and extends the length of the view of the driveway.

SETIA SKY RESIDENCES KUALA LUMPUR

Sitetectonix Pte. Ltd. SP Setia Berhad Inspired by the city’s chic urban elite and their discerning lifestyle, Setia Sky Residences reflect skyhigh luxury living. Setia Sky Residences, located on the fringe of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, is inspired by rolling landforms. The sinuous, geometrically curved movements and rhythmic, folding patterns all act as an interpretation of the architectural facade of the design. The analogy here is made to resemble rice terraces and the organic landscape paintings by artist and Landscape Architect, Roberto Burle Marx. The result is a sinuous water body which flows through the landscape like a stream, forming the focal spine of the entire space. The design intent is to create various perspectives from multiple angles around the outdoor space, so that views from any one point on the deck will provide different and interesting compositions for residents and guests alike.

RESIDENCE 8 KUCHING

THE VILLAGE BANGSAR SOUTH

Urbanscape Consultants Sdn. Bhd.

Urban Design Group Sdn. Bhd.

At Residence 8, water features are designed to seamlessly flow inwards to the houses whilst the green spaces further dominate the interior vertical walls and pocket spaces.

The Village consists of an F&B hub and a sales gallery, nestled between lush tropical gardens, spread over 3 different levels of seamless green spaces.

Residence 8, located at the Imperiale Residence, comes with approximately 0.3 acres of space, combining 2 units of semi-detached lots. With a natural stream located next to the development, the design carefully blends existing landscape and outdoor manicured gardens. A number of matured plants were introduced including a 100 year old frangipani and mature coral trees as focal points. Water features are designed to seamlessly flow inwards to the houses with reflection ponds, whilst the green spaces further dominate the interior vertical walls and pocket spaces within the restroom interior.

The Village, located at the corner of Bukit Kerinchi, is a pioneer development for the whole of the revitalised Bangsar South area. The landscape approach employed here aims to create different green spaces, a courtyard catering to the sales gallery and an F&B hub. The design elevates the overall outline of the space by introducing an energetic water element at the main entrance. In the development, there are 5 main Green Continuum spaces, namely, The Falls, Entrance Beacon, Street & Hidden Greens, Elevated Terrace and Village Plaza.

DECORATIVE STREET LIGHTING PROTOCOL ROUTES, PUTRAJAYA

LINEAR PARK

PUTERI HARBOUR, NUSAJAYA

Satar Landscaping Sdn. Bhd. UEM Sunrise Berhad

Malik Lip & Associates Sdn. Bhd. Putrajaya’s design is concerned with Malaysian values, reflected and translated into the cityscape.

The landscape elements at the Linear Park respond to local culture and celebrate the Malaysian native landscape.

Putrajaya is a city which sets its own identity, defining its future role as a new government administration centre and capital city of Malaysia. As Putrajaya is concerned with Malaysian values, the identity is reflected and translated into the cityscape, as in this case, the street and pedestrian light fittings. These values have been deliberated and articulated from Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage as well as the latest technical know-how which lead to the current design as displayed by four different motifs. The concept embraced unique designs inspired by nature and our cultural heritage such as the concept of Fauna, Obor (The Torch), Flora (Dew Drop), Wau (Traditional Kite) and wood carvings of Sulur Bayu.

The Linear Park, located at Laksamana precinct, is a public open space, which acts as a green lung and a space for public, festive gatherings and events. It is the central hub for all of the open spaces in this precinct. The landscape design is bold and contemporary with passive and active spaces flowing from the up-stream of the wetlands to the plaza and a water play area at the lower part of the park. Soon, this park will be a green connector between commercial and retail areas, located adjacent to the linear park.

These features, along with a pergola structure provided along the garden walkway, interconnect seamlessly with every garden space.
