The act of Mother Earth recovering her space through an architectural object is a very peculiar scene and also important in the environment where we are located. It is crucial for this chapel to endure through the years to come. This location, where limits blur thanks to tall vertical elements such as 8-meter pine trees and the silence of nature, has not yet been settled by humans. The need for this new element to adapt on its own is necessary.
With this project, the topography will help the element rise while being buried within it, simulating a cave, much like any other type of rock formation that will serve as a shelter, a place for meditation, and a connection with a superior force. Taking a trip through the past, it evokes the mystery and atmosphere that our ancestors experienced when their gods were venerated in caves.
Longing for geometrical composition, the structure rises 15.7 meters high, uncovering one facade, while the other three remain partly buried, providing a full view of what is to come—a new world and the forest in front of us. With a width of 9.7 meters, the principal facade will be perceived with a divine proportion, alluding to the perfect proportion that nature brings to everything it creates.
