MODEL 3001 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING Do not operate PRESS TO TEST button if LIVE lamp illuminates when unit is connected to circuit under test. OPERATION (1) INSULATION MEASUREMENT Set FUNCTION switch to 1000V or 500V position. Set POWER switch to STANDBY position. Connect unit to circuit under test and operate PRESS TO TEST button. Reading of ” I " indicates value above 200M ohms. (2) CONTINUITY MEASUREMENT Set FUNCTION switch to Ω position. Set POWER switch to STAND-BY position. Connect unit to circuit under test and operate PRESS TO TEST button. Reading of "I" indicates value above 200 ohms. BATTERY CHECK Flashing of battery check LED during operation indicates normal battery condition. LED flashes at longer interval as batteries become exhausted. Replace batteries when LED stops flashing. POWER SWITCH; When testing is completed, set power switch to OFF position.
