





Bold North Cellars began in 1999 with Carlos Creek Winery setting down roots in the Alexandria Lakes Community. Surrounded by pristine lakes and natural beauty, Carlos Creek Winery quickly became a must-see destination in Minnesota for its award-winning wines and beautiful landscaping. But our growth didn’t stop there.
In 2000, The Grand Hall was constructed and originally served as a horse stable and indoor riding arena. In 2008 we renovated and hosted our first wedding. Since then The Grand Hall has undergone multiple renovations, with the latest in Winter/Spring 2021. Named Minnesota Bride’s Best in 2020, 2021,& 2022 we strive for memorable celebrations for our couples and their guests.
In 2019 the property continued growth with the addition of 22 Northmen Brewing Company, adding a unique pairing of craft beer to our craft wine. At 22 Northmen we create craft lagers, adventurous ales and original blends including experimental brews with wine & wine barrels. This coming summer we are excited to introduce the latest expansion of our beer canning production building and remodeled brewery.

A 20% service charge is applied to all equipment, labor and rental charges.
A 7.375% sales tax (or current MN sales and county tax) is applied to all equipment, labor & service charges.

We require a $2,000 non-refundable down payment along with a signed contract to reserve your date. After your down payment, here is the following payment schedule (note: all payments are non-refundable once paid):

Cancellations must be submitted to the Director of Events in writing. In the case of a cancellation the following will be due/non-refundable:
180+ days before - $2,000 | 180-91 days before - $6,000 | 90-31 days before - 50% of estimated balance
30-15 days before - 75% of estimated balance | 14 days before - 100% of estimated balance
You may change your date up to 30 days after booking with no penalty. After 30 days we will require a new deposit for your new date.

All rental times include setup and take-down hours + access to dressing rooms and vendor access. If you need additional time for vendor set-up/take-down, it may be added at the discretion of the Director of Events and billed at $250/hour. Alcohol service will cease 45 minutes prior to the end of the scheduled event.
We only host one wedding reception a day, but may schedule other events the day of your wedding, including wedding rehearsals, groom’s dinners, corporate groups, wedding ceremonies etc. These other events will occur in spaces not occupied by your event.
A day-of rehearsal is included in the rental at no charge and will be scheduled with your contract. Rehearsals may be scheduled the day prior for an additional $250 fee.
All food and beverages must be purchased through Bold North Cellars, with the exception of wedding desserts & snacks for the dressing rooms. All wedding desserts brought onto the property must be from a licensed baker. No on-site refrigeration available for desserts. If food or beverages from an outside source are brought onto the property, Bold North Cellars reserves the right to confiscate those items and assess an appropriate charge. Due to Department of Health regulations we cannot allow any leftover food or beverages to be taken off the property.
Final count is due 21 days prior to the event (three weeks). Minimum charges will be based on the final count given at this time. If count is lower than actual number of attendees, you will be charged per person above final count. Final count should include all children, vendors (if feeding them) and special request meals if applicable. All clients must do assigned seating / tables and provide BNC with number of guests per table at final count.
We will hold dates for up to 1 week with no deposit. To book a date we require a signed wedding agreement and a $2,000 non-refundable deposit. If both of those items are not received in that 1 week period we will release the date without notification. It is up to you to ensure you get the date you want. Holds can be denied if there are limited dates left in the month. Only one hold request per client.
STATE LAW PROHIBITS BRINGING ALCOHOL ONTO THE WINERY & BREWERY PREMISES.
Bold North Cellars is licensed to allow the consumption of beverages provided by Bold North Cellars ONLY. We reserve the right to confiscate any alcoholic beverages that are brought onto the property. State law prohibits consumption of alcohol by those under the age of 21 and we reserve the right to card anyone when purchasing alcohol.
Bar minimums may be met by a hosted bar, cash bar or combination of hosted & cash. The minimum does not include sales tax or service charge.
Bold North Cellars provides beer & wine service, serving exclusively Carlos Creek Winery wine and 22 Northmen Brewing Co. beer. There is an option to add a cocktail cart, serving premium liquor beverages.
The host of the event is required to get a liability insurance policy and present it to their Wedding Director at least 14 days prior to their event. The policy is required to have the following:
• $1,000,000/occurrence & $2,000,000 general aggregate
• Carlos Creek Winery listed as additionally insured
• Hosted Liquor Liability
Certain weather conditions will not provide an enjoyable outdoor ceremony or social hour experience for you and your guests. Bold North Cellars provides indoor ceremony & social hour locations if weather prevents outdoor functions. Bold North Cellars cannot be held responsible for inclement weather, wild or domestic animals or insects nor any disruption, inconvenience or injury that may occur as a result of its/their actions.
