Bringing Hospitality Flourishes to a California Tech Company’s New Headquarters

This 205,000-square-foot headquarters in the greater Los Angeles area transforms a nine-level office tower into a dynamic space that blends work and recreation. Designed for a software company consolidating operations from multiple Southern California locations, the project features an indoor soccer field, private booths, and informal break-out areas to foster collaboration and employee well-being. With spaces for up to 1,800 employees across multiple floors, including vibrant outdoor terraces and gardens, the design reflects a forward-thinking approach to the post-pandemic workplace.

Modern Design Revitalizes a Historic North Beach Office Space

This 13,500-square-foot adaptive re-use project in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood revitalizes an existing building through a thoughtful modern renovation. Completed in 2023, the design features a refreshed façade and the addition of a vibrant roof deck, transforming the property into a dynamic and contemporary office space. The project is tailored to meet the demands of speculative office use, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal.

By blending modern updates with the building’s original character, the design achieves a balance between heritage and innovation. Situated in the heart of the bustling North Beach neighborhood, the project enhances the surrounding urban fabric while offering future tenants a flexible and inspiring workplace environment.

Innovative Workspaces at the Heart of San Francisco’s Design Hub

This 11,000-square-foot tenant improvement project, completed in 2022, transforms a PDR (Production, Distribution, and Repair) space for a technology company into a dynamic and efficient workplace. Located at 100 Hooper Street, Suite 15, in San Francisco, the design optimizes functionality while fostering creativity and collaboration. Tailored to meet the unique needs of the tenant, the space reflects a seamless integration of technology-driven innovation and thoughtful design.

Situated within the Hooper Building, a vibrant micro-campus for makers and thinkers, the project benefits from its prime location at the crossroads of the Design Center and Mission Bay districts. This adaptive space not only enhances productivity but also contributes to the larger ecosystem of innovation and creativity in one of San Francisco’s most forward-thinking neighborhoods.

CELLARMAKER | OAKLAND, CA

A Crafted Space for Innovation & Community in Oakland’s Jack London District

This 8,300-square-foot project, completed in 2023, brings Cellarmaker Brewing Co. to the heart of Oakland’s Jack London District with a thoughtfully designed space that blends retail and production functions. The architecture celebrates the vibrant energy of the area, incorporating an industrial aesthetic with warm, inviting finishes to create a dynamic environment that reflects Cellarmaker’s innovative spirit. The layout seamlessly integrates spaces for brewing, dining, and socializing, offering guests a unique experience rooted in craft and community.

The design pays homage to Cellarmaker’s pioneering approach to craft brewing, where weekly beer releases and a focus on freshness have become their hallmark. Highlighting transparency and creativity, the architecture showcases the production process while providing an engaging setting for enjoying food and beer. As part of a broader portfolio of Cellarmaker locations, this Oakland space is a standout destination that enriches the district’s cultural and culinary landscape through its vibrant and functional design.

LIFE SCIENCE CAMPUS | NEWARK, CA

A Landmark of Connectivity and Community for a Leading Life Sciences Campus

This dynamic campus amenities building reimagines the heart of a leading life sciences company’s Pacific Research Center (PRC) campus in Newark through a thoughtful and vibrant architectural approach. The design integrates refreshed facilities, including a modern conference center and fitness center, with new features such as a private dining and gaming/multi-purpose room. Key exterior enhancements, including façade modifications and distinctive awnings, create a cohesive and inviting aesthetic. Inspired by the nearby salt ponds, graphic murals infuse the campus with a sense of place, while landscaped piazzas with shading provide comfortable social spaces along the bustling campus boulevard.

Central to the design is a focus on connectivity and ecology. A pedestrian bridge over a vehicle road unites the campus, fostering seamless movement between spaces while prioritizing walkability. The building itself becomes a landscape marker, harmonizing architecture with the surrounding environment. This project not only enhances campus functionality but also serves as a unifying social and ecological hub that reflects the natural beauty of the region.

This project reimagines the Sheraton Phoenix Crescent by converting existing hotel rooms into thoughtfully designed workforce living units. The design is guided by target demographic insights and comparisons with similar properties to create spaces that balance functionality, comfort, and affordability. By focusing on cohesive interior upgrades, the project ensures a seamless transformation that meets both aesthetic and practical needs.

Through strategic material and finish selections, the renovation supports the project’s budgetary framework while maintaining a high standard of design. This adaptive reuse initiative not only revitalizes the property but also addresses the growing demand for workforce housing, setting a benchmark for innovative, purpose-driven conversions in the hospitality sector.
