I’m so excited you will be joining the NGU community in August! This is an exciting and pivotal time as you prepare for the calling God has for your life. For more than 130 years, our institution (now your institution) has remained faithful as we seek to glorify God by cultivating graduates who are equipped to serve as transformational leaders for church and society.
Times of transition can be full of excitement along with periods of uncertainty as you embrace something new. Be assured that you’ll be joining a community deeply committed to your success who will encourage and challenge you to pursue excellence in every area of your life. As you look forward to August, I’d like to encourage you to do a few things:
1. Thank those in your life, along with God, for equipping you to begin this new journey. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
2. Expect to do great things over the next few years. (Proverbs 16:3)
3. Be courageous and confident in all you do. (Joshua 1:9)
4. Be a source of kindness to others. (Colossians 3:12)
I can’t wait to see you in August and look forward to seeing how God is going to move across the campus in the fall!

The Center for Student Success (CSS) partners with students through practical and individualized services that empower and equip them for academic success at NGU.
Resources like academic coaching, one-on-one peer tutoring, math and writing support, the First Year Experience, and back-on-track courses help students build productive daily schedules, engage in more effective study sessions, master course content, build community, and understand how to take a proactive role in their academics.
Our services are available from day one through graduation, and students are encouraged to connect with CSS early in their time at NGU for consistent support throughout their academic journey.
An integral part of Student Life is the Counseling Office. North Greenville provides counselors for those who seek assistance for a wide variety of issues. Our counselors provide a Christ-centered, clinically appropriate approach to counseling. The service is free and confidential to all students, faculty and staff. Those who best benefit from this service are usually healthy and emotionally stable, except for their current crisis. The crisis could be a relational issue, eating disorder, separation anxiety, panic attacks, grief or any other temporary discomfort. Our counselors work caringly and confidentially to assist students in developing goals and habits consistent with Christian growth and ideals.

Our mission: Equipping transformational leaders for church and society.
Christ-Centered
Christ is our firm foundation and the cornerstone of our faith. He is at the forefront of everything we do.
God’s Word is our standard. We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is our primary source of knowledge and truth.
We engage with a robust Christian intellectual tradition. Every program and every course at NGU is designed to challenge and prepare leaders for any calling.
Mission-Focused
His glory is our pursuit. We strive to live missional lives of excellence that advance the kingdom of God.
“Since our inception, God’s Word has guided what we do. Because of that, we have a consistency and alignment that is unique in Christian higher education. We have always been a place that takes God’s Word seriously.”
