After a smooth overnight flight with SriLankan Airlines, we were whisked through Colombo airport and greeted with flowers by our fantastic guide, Richard, who stayed with us throughout.

Our journey took us from tranquil Kotugoda to the Cultural Triangle, Kandy, Tea Country, Yala and finally the south coast. Highlights

included cycling through the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, witnessing huge elephant gatherings in Minneriya, and exploring the breathtaking Dambulla Cave Temples at sunrise.

Hotel-wise, Sri Lanka shines. Wallawwa is the perfect post-flight haven, while Uga Ulagalla and Water Garden Sigiriya offer standout villas, nature and culture. Ceylon Tea Trails was our absolute favourite – serene, intimate and classically elegant. Wild Coast Tented Lodge gave us safari-chic with the ocean as a backdrop, and Cape Weligama delivered the wow-factor with its cliff-top views and spacious villas.

truly stole the show. Atlantis offers an impressive constellation of restaurants, and Café Martinique with its French-inspired classics, candlelit charm and marina views was a standout. Beyond the resorts, the iconic Fish Fry buzzes with colour, music and irresistible local flavours, a joyful celebration of Bahamian food culture was a real delight. Outside of the dining scene, I was really blown away by the quality of the beaches - particularly the stunning long stretch of beach at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort which has made it’s way to the top 5 beaches I’ve ever seen.

MEXICO Isabel, Trade Sales Manager, recently returned from Riviera Maya, Mexico My recent trip to Mexico’s Riviera Maya was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, inspired, and constantly impressed by the calibre of the resorts we visited.

My first stop was Nizuc Resort & Spa, where I instantly slipped into relaxation mode. The arrival was smooth, the rooms were gorgeous, and the service warm and intuitive. I loved the pizza-making session and the personal touches throughout our stay - Nizuc strikes that perfect balance of understated luxury and genuine charm.

From there, I moved to Hotel Xcaret Arte, a resort that completely surprised me with its creativity and spirit. Despite its size, it never felt overwhelming, and I was struck by how beautifully the arts are woven into every corner of the property. The restaurants offered memorable dining experiences - Encanta especially - and having access to the Xcaret parks added a wonderful sense of adventure.

My final two nights were at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, which was the perfect finale.

The suites were stunning, the atmosphere elegant yet relaxed, and the service truly exceptional. The dining, including a Michelinstarred experience, was some of the best I’ve had. I loved how seamlessly the resort caters to both families and adults - it’s incredibly versatile without compromising on luxury.

I’ve returned with a renewed appreciation for Riviera Maya. The hospitality, the food, the design, and the incredible variety - make it a destination I can confidently and enthusiastically recommend.

LAPLAND Luxury Sales Managers, Abi and Laura, recently returned from Finnish Lapland We still cannot believe how magical our Lapland journey was. From the moment we arrived at Wilderness Hotel Muotka, surrounded by deep forest and soft snow, we felt completely transported. Our days began with quiet walks through the frosted trees before we set off on gentle snowshoeing, moving through untouched powder that sparkled in the morning light whilst hearing stories about the local wildlife from our guide.

In Saariselka we visited the newly opened Wilderness Hotel Kieppi, Hotel Saariselka and Kelo Lodge, plus the beautiful Arctic Log Villas, each one offering its own warm welcome before we continued toward Wilderness Hotel Inari where we were taken on a night-time sleigh ride to the frozen Lake Inari, where an Aurora Camp awaited us.

The next morning brought one of our favourite moments, a peaceful reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest. Gliding across the soft trails with only the sound of hooves on snow felt almost dreamlike. Later, at Wilderness Hotel Juutua, we warmed up before setting out again, this time on a snowmobile safari that sent us racing through the snowy forest.

Our journey continued at Wilderness Hotel Nellim, full of cosy charm and gentle wilderness spirit. The final morning at the adult-only Wilderness Hotel Nangu offered quiet lakeside beauty and a calm farewell to the north.

Lapland truly is magical, an unforgettable winter haven and a perfect escape for couples and families seeking wonder and adventure.
