VIRGIN ATLANTIC LAUNCH A NEW ROUTE TO CANCÚN, MEXICO
Our partners at Virgin Atlantic are returning to Cancún, Mexico, with the launch of three weekly direct flights between London Heathrow and Cancún. The service will begin on October 19, 2025. Guests looking for a taste of Mexico’s sun, culture, and history can now enjoy the only direct route from London Heathrow to Cancún, flying aboard the Airbus A350-1000.
The flights, operating three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, are scheduled to depart from London Heathrow at 10:10 a.m., arriving in Cancún at 4:15 p.m. Return flights leave Cancún at 6:45 p.m., landing in London Heathrow the following morning at 9:05 a.m.

GRENADA
Grenada is famously known as the ‘Spice Isle’, though this wasn’t always the case. Nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon were only introduced to the island during the British colonial period in the 18th and 19th century, but the excellent growing conditions and relative proximity to Europe meant that Grenada quickly became one of the world’s most important producers of nutmeg. This fragrant legacy lives on in the markets of the island’s capital, St George’s, and spices infuse everything from the fiery rum punch to the cuisine at the many world-class restaurants. Our favourite places to dine in Grenada include the open-air Oliver Restaurant at Spice Island Beach Resort and the late celebrity chef Gary Rhodes’ eponymous restaurant at Calabash. For a unique experience, Armadillo is a small guesthouse set in the lush north of the island and offers a fine dining experience. You should also make sure you visit some of the more rustic local eateries, where you can try Grenadian staples such as oil down, a comforting one pot stew, and the deceptively named lambie souse, which is a seafood dish centred on slow-cooked conch. Cocoa is another important crop for the local economy - don’t leave without trying Belmont Estate’s award-winning organic dark chocolate!
