Patricia Harcourt Editor

The Viking Fire and Rescue Pancake Breakfast held Sunday at the Firehall took place on a lovely spring day that was perfect for enjoying the food prepared by local firefighters.

“It turned out to be a great day and we served over 150 people,” said Fire Chief Kevin Fornal.

“They got to see the new addition to the firehall and look at the trucks and equipment, including the new Rescue Unit.”

The kids also enjoyed a visit with Sparky the Fire Dog.

The breakfast went from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and everyone enjoyed the food, tours and other fun to be had at the event.

Allison’s Oasis Relax & Repair

THE FIT BODYWRAP SYSTEM is a body immersion treatment that delivers far infrared heat directly to the body. During a session the infrared heat penetrates the body which works to increase core body temperature to elevate heart rate and blood circulation, replicating a cardiovascular exercise. Results from the infrared bodywrap sessions can be life-changing. Whether it's relaxation, pain relief, weight loss, cellulite reduction, skin rejuvenation or detoxification, the bodywrap will help with all of these.

After coming out of closed session, another motion by Ewashko was made that council would consider granting Yakiwchuk an official leave of absence if she made a formal request in that regard.

“Once we get that we will consider it,” said Ewashko. This motion was also carried unanimously.
