Viking Dance Inspirations show off their talents

Julianna Merta

Viking Dance Inspirations has had some wonderful performances at this year's three competitions: Sparkle in Camrose

March 25 to 26, Dance to the Future in Camrose

March 30 to April 2, and For the Love of Dance in Fort Saskatchewan April 13 to 16.

The girls have improved their performances with each competition. Some highlights were our Musical Theatre group being awarded “Most Promising” and a first place award; a Lyrical Duet that won a “Sparkle” award; our Novice Ballet duet earned the second highest duet mark at one competition; and our Future Star group earning a Twinkle Tot award. Miss Kendra even won a Choreography award with her dance club in Innisfree at the Love of

Dance competition. We couldn't be prouder of her.

Our dance families have enjoyed watching these dancers grow and learn this season and on behalf of all the parents of VDI we would like to express appreciation for our teachers, Kendra Korth and Emma Crawford, for conditioning our girls for competition and shaping them into confident and capable dancers.

Both of them have created and maintained a healthy and welcoming learning environment for our dancers and we are very appreciative of that.

All of our girls look up to both their teachers who are truly an inspiration to our club and communities and we are blessed to have you both as teachers in the club.

The dancers are busy practicing and preparing for their year end recital on May 13
