His sister Efuwape Somorin, a young designer and one of his personal stylists. Adesoga is currently 19 years of age but holds in his mind the wisdom of Milenia (millions of years). He grew up in ode Remo with his extended family where he learned a multitude of spiritual teachings from his grandparents, parents and uncles. These teachings facilitated his maturity where at 19 years of age, he has the ability to converse with 70 year old persons and tell them things they have not heard in all their life. (This was how the late Master Artiste Leroy Clarke gifted Adesoga one of his prized paintings).

His Full name is Odunmbaku Adesoga

Ologundudu Olaiton Adewale

Somorin, his mother side is from one of the two Royal families in Ijebu Ife where the Ajalorun is the Oba/King. Hence, they gave him the names with “ADE” Adewale, Adesoga-Ade mean crown. The iyun/ coral beads he always wears after turning 18, are a token or symbol of “Eje omo Oba” or Royal Linieage. Furthermore, his father’s side are part of the select few who have the ability to make even a king kneel before them. “Omo Ga n gan ogun, omo a da Oba kunle ni moreee” He went to Trinidad and Tobago, where he grew up, made friends, learnt the culture hence becoming a Nigerian Trinidadian, however never letting go of his culture or mother tongue Yoruba.

Adesoga was specially chosen to open for Burna Boy in Tobago after only releasing one song. He would’ve experienced the energy with the African Giant and his band. Adesoga

released Flashes on Feb 24th and it has amassed over 20 thousand streams on Spotify alone. It’s a record about affairs of the heart and the flashbacks we experience after disappointment in relationships. It’s definitely a great listen.

The pandemic showed a different side of people and that’s when Adesoga grew his desire for making music. “The journey was difficult to find a studio that can create the Afrobeat sound I was hearing in my head, but after a lot of digging, I found one, and thanks to friends of mine Ambrose and Milli.” Shout out to KMC He wants to make music for people to Dance, make them feel the way they rather be feeling.Purpose is to Educate, entertain and motivate through music, fitness and Spirituality. VIBRATE is the first release; it’s a record about energy, trusting intuition and feeling vibes. Religion calls it spirits, science calls it energy, in the streets we call it vibes and WE TRUST IT.

The collaboration between Squash and Sean Kingston on their track "How we Chop" is a high-energy dancehall banger that showcases both artists' unique styles. Squash's raw and powerful vocals blend perfectly with Kingston's smooth and melodic flow over the infectious beat. BAHAMAS

The Bahamas is a beautiful island nation with a rich and diverse culture. This culture has been shaped by a variety of influences, including African, European, and native traditions. The culture of the Bahamas is evident in the island's art, music, cuisine, and festivals.

One of the most significant influences on Bahamian culture is the African tradition, which is reflected in the island's music and dance. Junkanoo is a vibrant street parade that takes place every Boxing Day and New Year's Day. This parade features colorful costumes, lively music, and dancing, and is a celebration of African heritage and tradition. The origins of Junkanoo can be traced back to the days of slavery, when enslaved Africans were given a few days off during the Christmas holiday to celebrate their cultural traditions.

The European influence on Bahamian culture is evident in the island's architecture and cuisine. The Bahamas was a British colony for over three hundred years, and this legacy is reflected in the island's colonial-style buildings, such as the pink-hued government buildings in Nassau. The British also introduced tea and scones to the Bahamas, which are still enjoyed by many on the island today.

Bahamian cuisine is a blend of African, European, and native influences. Seafood is a staple of Bahamian cuisine, and conch is a popular ingredient in many dishes. Conch is a large sea snail that is found in the shallow waters around the Bahamas, and is used in dishes such as conch fritters, conch salad, and cracked conch. Other traditional Bahamian dishes include peas and rice, johnnycake, and guava duff, a sweet dessert made with guava and served with a rum sauce.

The Bahamas is also home to a thriving art scene, with many talented artists working in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and pottery. The island's art reflects the diverse cultural influences that have shaped Bahamian culture over the years. One of the most notable Bahamian artists is Amos Ferguson, whose vibrant and colorful paintings depict scenes from everyday life in the Bahamas.

The Bahamas also is home to several vibrant Caribbean carnivals, which are a celebration of the island's rich and diverse cultural heritage. As she continues to blaze new trails in the world of dance and culture, we can't wait to see what the future holds for this talented and visionary artist.

1. What first drew you to Caribbean dance, and how did you begin your career as a dancer?

What drew me to Caribbean dance is my Caribbean background my parents are from the island of Trinidad and Jamaica. Music and dance have been a big part of my life. My love of dance allows me to make a career out of it, travel worldwide while teaching dance and performing. My social media

grew rapidly from posting my videos dancing due to the fact I was a trailblazer having workshops in different countries and states teaching people our culture and allowing people who are of Caribbean dissent to embrace their culture.

2. Your dance style incorporates elements of various Caribbean traditions. Can you tell us more about the different styles you draw inspiration from, and how you integrate them into your choreography? What I do is deeper than dance, I incorporate different traditions whether it’s Afro or Caribbean I represent for all the island girls across the world. Many of my moves come naturally being that this is my God-given talent.

3. You have performed with many notable Caribbean musicians and artists. Can you share some of your favorite collaborations, and what makes a successful dance-music partnership in your opinion? My most memorable performance was with Machel Montano being that he is the king of Soca and he seen the talent in me to be a performer and be a part of an amazing production, fast wine star girl of the video. What makes a successful dance music partnership in my opinion is people loving what they do and executing greatness in the words of Kaz “It’s a feeling I can’t control it’s in my waist I want to wave I want to wine low”

4. Many talented Caribbean artists and creatives are often overlooked by mainstream award shows. Do you think a dedicated Caribbean awards show could help to level the playing field and provide more visibility and recognition and how do you see this impacting the broader

entertainment industry? So happy you asked I definitely do think a dedicated Caribbean award show it’s needed a lot of creatives artist dancers do so much and affect the lives of others in such a positive way through music through dance being rewarded will be beautiful.

5. As a dancer, how do you keep yourself motivated and inspired to continue learning and growing in your craft? As a dancer how I keep myself motivated and inspired is knowing that there’s a young girl out there that’s just like me who loves to dance but is too shy to pose or has people family in her ear saying you should be a doctor you should be a nurse so that inspires me to go hard and also like I said before it’s deeper than dance this is my God-given talent to help the lives of others, to express, to have that hour in my class to release any bad feelings any negative thoughts and feel their self with love. An hour to feel sexy, feel amazing and tone up their bodies.

6. In addition to performing, you also teach Caribbean dance to students of all ages. What do you hope to impart to your students through your teaching, and how do you approach creating a positive and inclusive learning environment? It comes naturally I’ve been doing this for years. I pray that God allows me to help everyone in the class not only through dance but just allowing them to know that they can follow their dreams and really achieve higher goals and make an environment very comfortable to embrace your body your mind and your soul. I have a thing after class we hug ourselves and say I love me self-love is everything!
